I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It

We are deeply grieved to hear the pain and despair in your words. The weight of suffering you carry must feel unbearable, and we want you to know that your life is precious in the eyes of God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came so that you may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your cry for relief does not go unheard, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to intervene in your darkness with His light.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of death and hopelessness that has taken hold of your heart. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, but we declare that Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25). You are not forgotten, nor are you beyond the reach of God’s mercy. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We command every lie of the enemy that tells you your life has no value or purpose to be silenced in the name of Jesus. You were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your days were written in God’s book before one of them came to be.

We also address the gravity of your request with the truth of Scripture. Suicide is not the answer, for it cuts short the work God desires to do in and through you. The Bible tells us that no temptation has seized you except what is common to man, and God is faithful—He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it (1 Corinthians 10:13). Your life is not your own; it was bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We plead with you to surrender your pain to Jesus, who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4). He is acquainted with suffering and invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and He alone can bring true peace to your soul. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved (Romans 10:9-10). If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would break through the darkness that surrounds them and flood their heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and command it to flee in the name of Jesus. Replace every lie with Your truth, every fear with Your love, and every moment of hopelessness with the hope that is found only in Christ.

Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your presence and remind them that they are never alone. Send Your angels to minister to them, to guard their heart and mind, and to lead them to the help they need. Father, we pray for divine intervention—open their eyes to see the purpose You have for their life and the plans You have to prosper them, not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Soften their heart to receive the love and support of those around them, and give them the strength to reach out to someone who can walk alongside them in this season.

We pray for healing, Lord—healing of their mind, their emotions, and their spirit. Heal the wounds that have left them feeling broken and restore the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12). Father, we ask that You would bring people into their life who can speak life, encouragement, and truth. Surround them with a community of believers who can pray for them, support them, and remind them of Your promises. Lord, we also pray for wisdom for any counselors, pastors, or medical professionals who may be involved in their care. Give them discernment and compassion as they minister to this dear one.

Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Let them experience Your love in a way that leaves no doubt that You are real, You are near, and You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We declare that this is not the end of their story—it is merely a chapter, and You are the Author who writes the most beautiful endings. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to hold on to You, even when they cannot see the way forward.

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who redeems. You take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it into good (Genesis 50:20). We trust that You will do the same in this situation. May this dear one come to know You more deeply through this trial and emerge with a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

If you are reading this and feeling this way, we implore you to reach out to someone—a trusted friend, a pastor, a counselor, or a helpline. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24/7 at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or you can text "HOME" to 741741 to connect with a crisis counselor. There is hope, and there is help. God’s love for you is unshakable, and His plans for you are good. Hold on—your story is not over.
