We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling this way, but we are thankful that you have reached out for prayer and support. We are reminded of 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." God cares deeply about your struggles with depression and fear, and He cares about your son.
Firstly, we commend you for asking in the name of Jesus. This is so important because as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved.
Let us pray for you and your son together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this parent and their son. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the depression, the fear, and the concerns for their son. We ask, Jesus, that You would touch them both and bring healing and wholeness.
For the parent, Lord, we pray for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus as we are instructed to pray in Philippians 4:7. We ask that You would fill them with Your joy and strength, casting out all fear and depression.
For their son, Lord, we pray for Your blessing on his life. May he come to know You personally and deeply. May Your joy be his strength and may he thrive in all areas of His life; You make this possible. Please guide him and keep him safe. We are instructed in Proverbs 22:6 to "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." May Your will be done in his life.
Father, we also pray for their relationship. May it be strong and rooted in Your love. May they both come to know You more deeply and serve You together.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, God loves you both dearly and He has a good plan for your lives as He promised in all things. He promises this in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Keep trusting in Him, and seek Him with all your heart. Jesus said, "Keep on asking, and it will be given you; keep on seeking, and you will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7 WEB). You both are deeply loved and we are praying for you both.
