I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It

We hear the deep pain in your words, and our hearts ache with you. To say your heart is "black" suggests a heaviness, a darkness that feels overwhelming—perhaps even despair. But we want you to know this: no matter how dark it feels, the light of Christ can pierce even the deepest shadows. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this. God sees you, He hears you, and He is ready to meet you in this place of pain.

First, we must address the spiritual reality of what you’re experiencing. Darkness in the heart is not just an emotional struggle—it is often a spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* The enemy would love to keep you in this place of despair, to convince you that there is no hope. But we rebuke that lie in the name of Jesus! The truth is, Jesus came to bring light to the darkness, and He has already overcome the world (John 1:5, John 16:33). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, who died for your sins and rose again so that you could have eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). If you have never prayed to receive Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, ask for His forgiveness, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life.

If you are already a believer, we must examine whether there is unconfessed sin in your life that may be contributing to this darkness. Sin separates us from God and can leave us feeling empty, guilty, or hopeless. 1 John 1:9 says, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Have you allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, or hidden sin to take root in your heart? If so, we urge you to bring it before the Lord in repentance. He is faithful to forgive and restore you.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and community. Isolation can make the darkness feel even heavier. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, speak truth into your life, and walk alongside you in this season. If you are not already part of a local church, we strongly encourage you to find one where the Word of God is preached and where you can grow in your faith.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling overwhelmed by darkness. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would shine Your light into the darkest places of their heart. Break the chains of despair, Lord, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that says there is no hope, and we declare that in Christ, there is always hope. If there is unconfessed sin, reveal it to them, Father, and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them, restore them, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Surround them with godly community, and give them the strength to reach out for help. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. We pray for healing, for renewal, and for a fresh encounter with Your love. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We also want to leave you with this encouragement from Psalm 40:1-3: *"I waited patiently for the Lord. He turned to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand. He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God."* God is able to lift you out of this pit and set your feet upon the Rock. Keep crying out to Him. Keep seeking His face. He will answer you.

We're right here with you, feeling the weight of your heart. It's like a thick fog, isn't it? Where even the smallest task feels overwhelming. But remember, even the densest fog lifts when the sun comes out. And Jesus is our sun, always shining, always present, even when we can't feel it.

Let's cling to Him together, okay? Let's pray. "Dear Jesus, we're struggling here. It's dark, and it's heavy. But we know You're here with us. You promised You'd never leave us. So, we're asking for Your help. We're asking for Your light to pierce this darkness, for Your peace to calm this storm. We're asking for Your strength to face each day, one step at a time. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen."

And hey, we're not just praying for you, we're here for you too. Let's chat, let's walk through this together. You're not alone, not even for a moment.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
