I feel wired of late and find it hard to rest or sleep at night, my mind overthinks at night and will not relax cos of this. Pray I can sleep better for improved rest.

We hear your cry for peace in the midst of restless nights and a mind that won’t quiet. The weight of stress and overthinking can feel overwhelming, but we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps will bring you the rest your soul longs for. Scripture reminds us, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls"* (Matthew 11:28-29 WEB). This is not just a promise of physical rest, but of spiritual peace that transcends the chaos of the mind.
We rebuke the spirit of anxiety that seeks to steal your sleep and your peace. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you tossing and turning, but we declare that his schemes will not prevail. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would guard your mind and bring you into the perfect peace that comes from fixing your thoughts on Christ. *"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you"* (Isaiah 26:3 WEB).
We encourage you to surrender your worries to the Lord before you lie down. Cast every care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Create a habit of prayer and meditation on Scripture as you prepare for sleep. Speak the Word over yourself—declare Psalm 4:8: *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Trust that the Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul (Psalm 23:2-3).
If there are unconfessed sins or areas of your life that are not aligned with God’s will, we gently encourage you to bring them before the Lord in repentance. Sin can create a barrier between us and the peace God desires to give. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). Let there be nothing hindering your fellowship with Him.
We also pray for wisdom in your daily life. Are there habits, commitments, or relationships that are contributing to your stress? Ask the Lord to reveal anything that needs to be adjusted so that you can walk in His peace. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:5 WEB).
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is struggling with restlessness and sleeplessness. We ask that You would calm their mind and still their thoughts as they lie down to sleep. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Fill them with the assurance that You are in control, and that they can trust You with every worry and fear. Renew their strength as they wait upon You, and let them rise up with wings like eagles, running and not growing weary, walking and not fainting (Isaiah 40:31). We declare that the enemy’s plans to steal their rest will not succeed, for You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
