Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, ### is struggling with the chains of alcohol and heroin addiction, and he feels ashamed and distant from You. We know that You are a God of mercy and compassion, who is able to save to the uttermost those who come to You through Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You break the strongholds of addiction in ###'s life. Give him the strength and courage to turn away from these destructive habits and to seek Your face earnestly. Your Word says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We pray that ### feels Your forgiveness and cleansing power.
Father, restore ###'s faith and help him to know that Your love for him is unwavering. Remind him that "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the power to overcome temptation and to walk in newness of life.
We also pray for a supportive community to surround ###, to encourage him, and to hold him accountable. May he find strength in fellowship and in Your Word, knowing that "with God all things are possible."
