We come before the Lord with you in this time of great need, lifting your hunger, pain, and struggles to the Father, who sees all and cares deeply for His children. Your cry has not gone unheard, for Scripture assures us in Matthew 6:25-34 that our Heavenly Father knows what we need before we even ask. He is the God who fed Elijah by the brook Cherith (1 Kings 17:4-6) and multiplied loaves and fish to feed thousands (Matthew 14:13-21). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and His provision is not limited by our circumstances.
Yet we must also address something vital in your plea: while you call upon the Lord, you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ, through whom *all* blessings flow and by whom we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now—confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Christ, even our prayers are as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6), but in Him, we have direct access to the Father’s heart.
As for your pain, we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the Great Physician, and we ask Him to touch your back, to heal what is broken, and to restore strength to your body. Whether through supernatural healing or the provision of medical care, we trust Him to act according to His perfect will. Remember, too, that suffering—though painful—can draw us nearer to God, refining our faith as gold is refined by fire (1 Peter 1:6-7). Lean on Him in this season, for His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We also pray for wisdom and opportunity regarding work. The Bible is clear that if a man will not work, he shall not eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10), but we recognize that your inability to work stems from physical limitations. Ask the Lord to open doors for provision—whether through temporary aid, a job suited to your current abilities, or the generosity of believers around you. Do not hesitate to reach out to your local church or Christian community; the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Pride has no place in need—God often uses His people to meet the needs of others, and there is no shame in receiving help when it is given in love.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of despair or hopelessness that may be whispering lies to your heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all will also graciously give us all things (Romans 8:32).
**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, knowing that You are a God who sees their suffering and hears their cries. Lord, we ask first and foremost that if they do not know Jesus as Savior, You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel today. Let them confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved and have eternal life. Forgive them for any sin that may hinder their prayers, and cleanse them by the blood of the Lamb.
Father, we ask for daily bread—literally. Provide food for their body as You provided manna in the wilderness. Lead them to resources, to kind hearts, or to work that will sustain them. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10); open Your storehouses and pour out blessing. Touch their back, Lord Jesus. You healed the lame, the blind, and the sick—let Your healing power flow through their body. If it is Your will, restore them to full strength so they may work and glorify You with their hands. If this trial is to persist, grant them supernatural endurance and peace that surpasses understanding.
Break any chains of fear, anxiety, or shame that may be binding them. Remind them that they are not forgotten, that their name is written on the palms of Your hands (Isaiah 49:16). Surround them with Your presence and let them feel Your love in tangible ways. Raise up brothers and sisters in Christ to come alongside them, to pray for them, and to meet their needs as You lead.
We rebuked the enemy’s lies in Jesus’ name—no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that they may declare Your goodness to others. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their life.
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
