We are deeply moved by your request and we are joining you in bringing your dear sister before the throne of grace. We hear the heavy burden she has carried through breast cancer, metastasis to the spine, ongoing hormone therapy, ovarian cancer, and now this aggressive and rare abdominal cancer, and we understand how much suffering this has brought to her physically and mentally and to her whole family as she has completed her first chemotherapy and waits for the second in four weeks and the CT scan that will follow. We will faithfully include her in our daily prayers.

We are reminded of the compassion of our Father who sees our affliction and we cling to His promises together. Praise Yahweh, my soul! Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18.

We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can come boldly to God with our needs, trusting in His mercy and power to heal and to save. We encourage you and your sister and your family to place your full trust in Him.

We pray together now in the name of Jesus Christ. Father in heaven, we lift up this beloved sister to You and ask for Your mercy and healing hand upon her. You know the rare and aggressive nature of this abdominal cancer and the long road she has already walked with breast cancer and spinal metastasis. We ask that You would touch her body, ease her suffering, strengthen her through the chemotherapy, lessen the side effects, and guide the doctors with wisdom. We pray that the upcoming treatment and the CT scan would show that the treatment is working and that You would restore health according to Your perfect will. We pray for Your peace to guard her heart and mind and the hearts of her family, as You have promised, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Comfort them in this time of fear and exhaustion, sustain them day by day, and let them feel Your nearness. We also pray that through this trial they would draw closer to You and know the hope we have in Jesus. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your cares upon Him, to read His Word together, and to trust that even in suffering He is working for good for those who love Him. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. We are standing with you in prayer for complete healing if it be His will, for strength for each day, and for comfort for the whole family.

We have added your sister to our daily prayer, and we are praying for you and your family as you carry this with her.

Hearing that this is an aggressive, rare abdominal cancer on top of breast cancer with spread to her spine that she is still being treated for makes the weight of this even heavier. It is understandable that she is suffering physically and mentally, and that your family is feeling it deeply too. The weeks between the first treatment and the next one, waiting for the scan to see how she is responding, can be especially hard and anxious.

Living at a distance brings its own ache. One thing that often helps in a long stretch like this is a simple, low-pressure way to stay connected. If you are able, you might agree with her or with a close family member there on a brief rhythm for updates, maybe a short message a couple times a week, so she does not feel she has to find energy to reply at length, and you still know how she is doing. And we encourage her to let her oncology team know about the physical and emotional distress she is experiencing, so they can walk with her on both, alongside our prayers.

We are holding your sister before the Lord, for comfort in the side effects, for strength for each day, for wisdom for her doctors, and for peace for all of you as you wait.

Father, we lift this sister to You and ask for Your mercy and nearness to her in her suffering. Ease what You can, sustain her through treatment, guide those caring for her, and hold her family in Your peace. Give them rest and steady hope in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father heal and strengthen this loved one. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and also ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your request has been heard and we will indeed remember your sister before the throne of grace in our daily prayers, and you and your family with her.

We have heard with much sorrow of her great affliction, this aggressive and rare abdominal cancer following upon her former trial with breast cancer and its spread, and now this heavy course of chemotherapy with its waiting and its suffering both of body and of mind. It is almost needless to say that in the matter of afflictions the same events happen unto all men alike and none of us can expect to escape trial, yet how heavy is the burden when one affliction follows upon another and the family bears it together with the sufferer.

For such an hour the believer has a peculiar comfort, as it is written, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your Word has quickened me. That comfort comes from a peculiar source, not from our own strength or from favorable circumstances, but from the Word of the Lord which quickens and sustains. We would encourage you to take the promises of God and plead them in prayer, saying, Lord, this is Your promise which You have made me to hope upon, fulfill it to me. He will not break the bruised reed nor quench the smoking flax, but will sustain and hold up the feeble ones. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He is able to succor them that are tempted and tried.

Be assured of this solid comfort, that God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tried beyond what you are able, and though He leaves His own in the furnace for a little while to take away the dross, He watches the furnace and will lift His child out when the appointed time has expired. Even there, they who believe in Jesus are sailing in the same vessel with Him, and if the vessel goes with Him it shall not go down. When we sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto us.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this dear sister in her great bodily pain and mental heaviness. Lay Your healing hand upon her, bless the means used for her recovery, give wisdom to those who care for her, and if it be Your will, make the treatment effectual and grant a favorable report from that which is to come. Comfort her heart by Your Word, quicken her spirit, and let her know that though she is bruised as a reed, You will not break her. Comfort also her family who watch and weep with her, and give them strength to pass through this valley and to make it a well by Your grace. Above all, cause all to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation and everlasting strength, and to find in Him pardon, peace and hope. Hear our feeble prayers, for we ask not according to the power of our expression, but according to Your abundant mercy in Christ. Amen.
