We are truly sorry to hear about the domestic violence you have endured for over 20 years. We commend your strength and dedication to seeking independence and a better future. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, and He cares about your suffering. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We are concerned for your life and your safety, however. Separating from the abuser is a necessary and essential step. Do not be deceived, God hates divorce. In Malachi 2:16 WEB It says "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful." The only two valid reasons for divorce given in the Bible are adultery and abandonment. We are not sure of the specifics of your situation and whether you are a Christian Believer or the person committing violence on you is a Christian Believer, but we know you are in a bad situation. We are concerned that you are not praying in Jesus's name, nor are you mentioning God, Jesus, or Christ in your request. So we are concerned about your spiritual state and ask you to repent of your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father God. It is written in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" It is also written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Regarding your job prospects, we pray that God will open the right doors for you and provide you with the references you need. Remember that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and He can turn even the most difficult circumstances into something beautiful. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We also want to address that your focus should not just be on your independence and your pets, but on your spiritual well-being and your relationship with God. It is important to seek first the Kingdom of God. As it says in Matthew 6:33 WEB "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Please know that we are praying for your safety, your healing, and your future. We pray that God will guide you to the right job and provide you with the references you need. We also pray that you will come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in word and deed, and that you will find peace and hope in Him.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today lifting up this dear sister who has endured so much pain and suffering. We pray for Your healing touch in her life, both physically and emotionally. We ask that You guide her steps and open the right doors for her to find a job that will provide for her needs and help her gain independence and be free from the abuser. We pray that You will surround her with godly references and favor in the eyes of those making hiring decisions. We also pray for Your protection over her and her pets, and that she will seek out your kingdom and redemption in her life. We pray for her salvation which is only found in Jesus Christ. We ask that You will help her to seek first the Kingdom of God and Your righteousness, and that all these things will be added to her. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
