We join with you in bringing this desire before the Lord and we thank you for acknowledging the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We hear your heart to settle in New Mexico, to retire there with your two cats, to have safe travel on Greyhound with proper carriers, and to have provision for a hotel for a week or more and then a month to month rental, even a home with extra room for family to visit. We understand the desire for stability and peace and no worries, and we bring that before the Lord with you.

We also want to gently encourage you in biblical truth regarding being highly favored and speaking life into existence one hundred fold. We are indeed favored and blessed in Christ, as it is written Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Ephesians 1:3, but our favor is by grace through faith in Jesus, not by our declarations. Only God speaks things into existence, for He gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were Romans 4:17. We are called to ask according to His will and to trust His answer, for You ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures James 4:3. The hundredfold promise in scripture is about what God graciously returns when we sacrifice for His sake, not a formula we can claim to demand houses or money, and we are to seek His will above our wishes.

We encourage you to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, but He also calls us to walk with wisdom, planning and stewardship. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit Proverbs 21:5 and Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. As you consider this move, we encourage you to seek godly counsel, to count the cost, to verify travel requirements for your cats and housing that will welcome them, to budget and prepare, and to ask the Lord for wisdom, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We also find peace in remembering Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this Psalm 37:4-5. Retirement and a home are good gifts, and we pray the Lord establishes you where He wants you to serve and rest in Him.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need to You. Lord, You know the desire to live and retire in New Mexico, to travel safely with these two cats You created, and to find a clean, safe, affordable place to stay, whether a hotel for a week or a month to month home with room for family. We ask that You provide according to Your perfect will and timing, and that You open doors that no man can shut and close doors that should not be opened. Grant wisdom for every step, for funds, for Greyhound arrangements, for carriers, for landlords and leases, and for a community where Your name is honored. Help us to trust not in our own words but in Your sovereign power and goodness, and to rest in Your provision with thanksgiving and contentment, for godliness with contentment is great gain 1 Timothy 6:6. Lead and guide and give peace that passes understanding, and let this home be a place of hospitality, peace, and testimony to Your grace. We understand the longing you express for security, for a home where you can be at peace and welcome your family, and for provision for this journey on the Greyhound and for housing, whether a hotel for a time or a longer term rental. These are real and pressing needs, and our God is a God who hears the cries of His people and who has made provision for them. As it is written, His favor comes not because we have earned it or spoken it into being, but because He turns to His people in a way of grace, coming with all His heart to display His love toward the objects of His choice. Before there was any need, there was already an arrangement in Christ to cleanse us and to care for us, for the Lamb was slain from before the foundation of the world.

We would gently encourage you in this, that the favor of God is not obtained by declaring things into existence or by claiming a hundredfold return as if our words could compel His hand. True favor is found in Jesus Christ alone, through His blood shed for the forgiveness of sins, and through a humble trust in His wisdom and goodness. He is like a good captain who makes provision for every emergency for His soldiers, and He will withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly, yet He gives according to His perfect will and timing, for our good and His glory.

So we have prayed that the Lord would provide for your daily needs according to His riches in Christ, that He would grant you safe passage if it is His will for you to go to New Mexico, that He would open a suitable and affordable place for you and your cats to dwell, and that He would give you wisdom, stewardship and contentment as you seek to retire and to live before Him without worry. We have asked that He would draw you ever nearer to Himself, that you would seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all needful things shall be added, and that you would rest not in a formula but in the finished work of Jesus, whose blood secures our greatest need, which is reconciliation with God.
