Your honest cry has been heard, and I want to respond with care for you, for your mother, for your three children, and for your household.
Scripture shows that God set before His people both blessing and curse. From one mountain the blessings were spoken, from the other the curses, and the people in the valley were to answer Amen, acknowledging that God is just and right in what He declares. The blessings are given with a condition, if you hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord your God to keep His commandments. The curses are described at much greater length, many more verses than the blessings, because the human heart is so prone to disobey. Moses warned that if the people turned away from God, those curses would pursue and overtake them, touching the fruit of the body, the land, the health and the work of their hands.
Those curses were not careless words or superstitions spoken by other people. They were the covenant consequences God Himself declared for breaking His law, including contempt for parents, dishonesty, and sexual sins such as incest and other immorality. The people saying Amen was their way of agreeing that God would be righteous to judge such things.
At the same time the Bible shows that when God allows wounding or affliction, His purpose is not to destroy but to bring us to repentance so that He can heal and bless. His mercies never cease, and even His correcting work is meant for healing.
You have asked for healing and for every word that has called you lame or broken to be taken off you and your family. I want to affirm that God does heal, and I believe strongly that healing is for today. Yet Scripture also shows that healing comes in different ways. Sometimes Jesus healed instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes healing was gradual as with the man at Bethsaida who first saw men as trees walking and then saw clearly, sometimes healing comes through the natural processes God Himself placed in our bodies, and sometimes God heals the heart and mind even while the body still waits. I do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others wait longer, but every healing, whether sudden or slow, is from the Lord.
There is no secret formula of words that can permanently guarantee health, wealth, or strength on our own terms. God's blessing is not a game that others can force on you, nor is it something you can claim as a permanent right apart from walking with Him. True security is found in belonging to Jesus Christ alone, whose blood was shed to redeem us from the curse of the law. He bore the curse for us so that we can stand forgiven and whole before God.
The enemy is real, but the victory is not found in hiding or in wishing harm back upon those who have hurt or bullied you. God calls us to entrust justice to Him, to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to pray even for those who have done evil, that they might be corrected by coming to repentance, not by having curses returned to them. Your safety is not in a secret escape but in the open refuge of Christ.
So I will pray for you in this way, that God would lift any weight of fear and shame you feel from unkind words, that He would give you and your mother and your children peace, health, and strength according to His wisdom, that He would guard your home, and that He would draw each of you closer to Jesus. May you hear His voice, walk in obedience to His word, and find your identity not in what others have said, whether they called you lame or great, but in what God says, that you are made in His image, loved, and if you trust in Christ, made a new creation through His blood.
If there are areas where you have not been walking closely with the Lord, turn to Him openly and ask for His cleansing. Keep reading His word, keep praying in Jesus name, and trust His timing for healing and provision. He is able to heal, He is compassionate, and He will not forsake those who seek Him.
