I'm going to take a chance at having my "man card"

I'm going to take a chance at having my "man card" revoked, LOL! I was obligated to go to a wedding yesterday. I knew what was going to happen but, even I couldn't have realized the extent. All I could do was silently cry out to God and ask why He won't let me have that. It was all I could do to keep from weeping during the service. The couple getting married were over 10 years younger than me and I don't think either of them really even realize (or care) the depth of what was going on. The Minister explained everything well and even after working for my church for as long as I did during college and working countless weddings something sank to the depths of my heart and just made my longings even stronger. I can't explain it but my heart is bleeding for that in my own life and it's terribly hard to hold onto hope. I know this is terribly personal but I have held on to my purity all this time hoping that the one God promised me has done the same. Given the prevalence and permissiveness of sinful relationships in today's society my hope in that is all but gone. I really am not sure what to think or to hold onto anymore.

Please pray for God to send me a miracle that will give me a testimony to His everlasting goodness, love, mercy, grace, loving kindness, and to His steadfast word in fulfilling His promises. It's all for His glory and I want that testimony to radiate His glory and the light of His face for all to see.

Please, Abba Father bring me those things you promised. I've waited on You all of my life and I've been waiting for the fulfillment of Your promises for almost 25 years. Bring me healing, and transform me with the fulfillment of Your promises. I want to look upon the face of the one You promised me; to have and to hold, to love and to cherish. God, I have saved myself for my marriage. I have kept myself from all of the temptations of life. I have loved You and lived for You since I was a child singing praises and talking to you while I played by myself. God, You have sheltered me and moulded me for Your purposes. You have given me gifts and talents to use for You. You have made me promises and shown me things to come. Please God, don't delay, shine your face on me and radiate Your glory so that I can reflect it to others and to be a light for You in this dark world.

If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
