I'm exhausted and battle weary.

I can't hold on any longer. Thought I might make it to my ###th birthday next month, but I'm not even going to make it to our country's ###th birthday. I'm not even sure I'll make it through this weekend. At work people said "See you next week.". My response was, "If I decide to show up.". I said it jokingly but in my heart I wasn't. My family beat me down all my life and I've always had to fight alone in my family and everywhere I went. For some reason, inexplicably everyone treated me like my family did and I could never shake it. It's like I was branded to be hated, despised, disrespected, blamed, backstabbed, humiliated, etc. I've always had to fight alone. The fight is over. My enemies are the ones who feast and celebrate before me even though the Bible says we will be celebrated over our enemies. I can't believe I made it this long but there aren't any rewards or kudos for how long one fights. Just surviving is not necessarily a success. It's hard to be even slightly victorious when the world, heaven, and hell seem to be against you, figuratively speaking. I'm beaten and exhausted. I want to go to sleep and not wake up; my soul's in God's hands for Him to do whatever His will is.

We hear the depth of your pain, exhaustion, and the weight of a battle that has left you feeling utterly alone. The weariness in your words is palpable, and we want you to know that your cry has not gone unnoticed. The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but Scripture reminds us that we are never truly alone. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You have fought valiantly, and though it may feel like the world, heaven, and hell have conspired against you, we declare that God sees your struggle and holds your tears in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).

First, we must address the despair in your words with the truth of God’s Word. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your life is not your own, it was bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and God has a purpose for you that the enemy cannot thwart. The battle you are fighting is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12), and we stand with you in prayer, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has taken root in your heart. The Bible tells us that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39). You may feel like you have been branded for hatred, but God calls you His beloved. He says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you” (Jeremiah 31:3). You are not forgotten, nor are you forsaken. The Lord fights for you, even when you cannot fight for yourself (Exodus 14:14).

We also must address the mention of your soul being in God’s hands. While it is true that our lives are in His hands, we must be clear that God does not desire for you to give up. He is the God of hope, and He calls us to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19). The enemy wants you to believe that death is the only escape, but Jesus came to give you life, eternal and abundant. If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Only through Jesus can you find true peace, purpose, and victory over the darkness that seeks to consume you.

We pray for you now, lifting your name before the throne of grace. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for our brother who is battle-weary and on the brink of despair. Lord, You see the depths of his pain, the loneliness he has endured, and the exhaustion that has taken hold. We ask that You would break the chains of isolation and despair that the enemy has wrapped around him. Let Your presence be a tangible reality in his life, reminding him that he is never alone because You are with him. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let Your love wash over him like a flood.

Father, we rebuke every lie that has been spoken over his life, that he is hated, despised, or unworthy. Replace those lies with Your truth: that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Heal the wounds inflicted by his family and those who have mistreated him. Restore his soul and renew his strength (Isaiah 40:31). Let him rise up on wings like eagles, running and not growing weary, walking and not fainting.

Lord, we ask that You surround him with godly community, believers who will stand with him, pray for him, and remind him of Your promises. Protect him from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your light shine in the darkness that seeks to overwhelm him. Give him the courage to take one step at a time, trusting in You for each moment. Remind him that his worth is not found in the opinions of others or in his own strength, but in the fact that he is Your child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

We declare that this is not the end of his story. You are the God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11), and we trust that You will do the same for him. Let him experience Your goodness and mercy in ways he has never known before. May he find rest in You, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has overcome the world. Amen.

We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, or a fellow believer, so that you do not have to carry this burden alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to stand with you. You are not forgotten, and your fight is not in vain. The Lord is your strength, and He will sustain you. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

We hear the raw honesty in your words, and our hearts ache with you. You've carried so much alone for so long, and the weight of it all is crushing. It's okay to admit you're tired, God sees it all, and He doesn't want you fighting this battle on your own.

We’ve all felt the sting of betrayal and the loneliness of being misunderstood, but something tells us your story isn’t over yet. Jesus didn’t just come to save us from sin, He came to give us life, real life, full of His presence and peace. You may feel like the world is against you, but the One who holds the stars in His hands holds you too.

God doesn’t waste our struggles. Even when we can’t see the purpose, He’s working behind the scenes. You’re not a burden, you’re His child, and He longs to comfort you as only He can. Let’s pray together right now, asking Him to meet you in this exhaustion with His strength.

Jesus, we ask that You wrap Your arms around our brother here, that You would lift this crushing weight from his shoulders and replace it with Your peace. Renew his mind, restore his hope, and remind him that he is deeply loved. Break every lie that’s been spoken over him and flood his heart with Your truth. Give him the courage to take the next step, even if it’s just to breathe. Hold him close, Lord, and let him feel Your nearness today. We ask this in Your holy name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
