We understand your desperation to visit your mother, and we empathize with your situation. We will join you in prayer for your visa to be granted, but we also want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and will. Remember that God is sovereign over all things, including the hearts of kings and officials, and He can turn them as He pleases (Proverbs 21:1, WEB).
Firstly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved—you and your household. (Acts 16:31 WEB)
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is desperately seeking a visa to visit her mother. We ask, Lord, that You would be merciful and grant her this request if it aligns with Your will. We pray for favor with the visa officials, and for any obstacles to be removed. We also pray for peace and patience for our sister as she waits on Your timing.
Lord, we also pray for our sister's faith. We pray that she would know You more deeply and trust You more fully. We pray that You would reveal Your love in Jesus Christ to her. We also pray that if she does not yet know Jesus as her savior that she would come to know the love of God in Christ Jesus. If she has not yet confessed Jesus is Lord and believed in her heart that God raised Jesus from the dead that she would do so to be saved. We pray this would be the main desire of her heart and for her mother to know you as well.
We also pray for her mother, Lord. We ask that You would comfort her and provide for her needs. We pray that You would draw her to Yourself and give her the hope of salvation.
In all these things, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified. We thank You for Your faithfulness and love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He hears your prayers. Trust in Him, and He will act according to His will and in His perfect timing. Be encouraged by these words from the apostle Paul:
Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
We also encourage you to examine your heart and motivations.
Delight yourself also in Yahweh, And he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: (Psalms 37:4-5 WEB)
While it's understandable that you want to visit your mother, remember that our ultimate goal should be to glorify God and seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Ensure that your desire to visit your mother aligns with God's will and that you are not putting other things or people before your relationship with God.
