I'm a 19 year old male and i don't think I've been right with God for these past couple of weeks. I've been getting drunk everyday for the past week and a half and I have been smoking weed. I don't know if smoking weed is a sin since its originally plant but I definitely know that getting drunk is a sin. I also noticed I haven't prayed in the morning like I used to. I feel like I miss being close to God. Can you guys please pray for me that I get right back on track and sort out my life for the better?

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. I pray you will get back right with God. The more you stray in one area, the more you will stray in other areas. That is so funny that you are questioning whether or not smoking pot is a sin -- Opium comes from a plant too you know: poppies!!! And I think beer is made from barley. It all depend on how much you do with what and under what circumstances. I really do believe in medical marijuana. I am pretty sure opiates are good when used to treat severe pain but that it is sinful to use opium recreationally. I also think if getting drunk is a sin, then getting high is a sin too.
