Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my elderly mother in law who is in a serious condition in intensive care. Please also pray for my husband to be given strength and courage to help him through this difficult time.

We join you in lifting up your elderly mother in law and your husband before the throne of grace, and we stand with you in this difficult and heavy time in Jesus' name.

We are reminded that our God is compassionate and near to those who suffer. Scripture tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We also cling to His promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And we know that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.

We pray together for your mother in law and for your husband.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we can approach Your throne with confidence through Him. We lift up this dear elderly mother in law who is in serious condition in intensive care. Lord, You know her body, You know every breath she takes, and You are the One who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3. We ask for Your healing hand upon her according to Your perfect will. We pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and nurses caring for her, and for Your peace to rest upon her. If it is Your will, restore her health and grant her more days, and above all let her feel Your presence and comfort in that hospital room.

We also lift up her son, this husband, who is walking through this valley of worry and sorrow. Father, pour out Your strength and courage upon him. When he feels weak and overwhelmed, remind him that Your grace is sufficient, for Your power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. Guard his heart and mind with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Sustain him and his wife as they support one another in their marriage, bearing this burden together in love and faith, and help them to cast all their worries on You, because You care for them 1 Peter 5:7.

Lord, we also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would give comfort and steadiness while caring for family in this trial. Help this whole family to not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let their requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6.

We gently want to encourage you that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ. We noticed your request did not mention His name, and we want to remind you that Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we have assurance of forgiveness and eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus and to call upon His name in every need.

We will continue to pray that God will bring healing, comfort, and courage, and that whatever the outcome, this family will feel His loving arms sustaining them and will be drawn closer to Him. May the Lord bless you and keep you and give you peace as you wait upon Him.

We are holding you and your family in prayer during this heavy waiting while your mother-in-law is in intensive care. That kind of vigil is exhausting, full of worry and helplessness, and we are praying for you all.

We also hear your heart for your husband. Watching his mother so ill is a heavy burden, and wanting to be strong for her and for you can leave him with little room to breathe.

In seasons like this, strength and courage rarely feel brave. More often they look like taking the next small step that needs to be done, resting when you can, and letting others help carry the load. We encourage you both to lean on the support around you in these days. If you have family, friends or a church community, let them know the visiting schedule and practical needs so your husband can step away to eat and rest without guilt. Writing down questions for the medical team together can also help you both feel a little less overwhelmed when updates come.

Father, we lift this dear mother to You and ask for Your mercy and care over her in intensive care, for wisdom for those treating her, and for Your peace to rest on her. We ask You to sustain her son with quiet strength and courage for each day, and to uphold his wife as she loves and supports them both. Give them comfort, rest and the nearness of Your presence. In Jesus' name, amen.

God certainly is our trust. And our peace. In sudden times. We pray. And cry out. We mourn. And weep. And give thanksvto God. Forcthe time we get with eachother. Let him eho believe live with Christ forever. And be raised up fromnthe dead. Incorruptible. And live and reign forever with God. Praise God. Lord Yeshuas name. Let all the worshippers of God who know and love him and keep his commands be raised from the dead and live forever with God. Lord Yeshuas name. Smen. May God be with you and your fanily as you lean on him. Lord Yeshuss name. Amen.

May the Lord watch over the elderly mother in intensive care and bring healing. May He strengthen and encourage her husband through this difficult time in Jesus' name. Amen.

- **Psalm 46:1** – "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."
- **Isaiah 41:10** – "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
- **James 5:15** – "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up."
- **Psalm 73:26** – "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Your request has been heard with deep sympathy and has been carried at once to the throne of grace, where our God delights to hear the cries of His people.

We sorrow with you over the serious condition of your dear mother in law, now lying in intensive care. The Lord who numbers our days and holds our breath in His hand is present even there, where human skill can do so little and where every hour seems long. We have prayed that His merciful hand would rest upon her, that He would grant wisdom to those who tend her, and above all that she may know the comfort of His presence and the peace which comes through looking to the cross of Christ, for there our window must ever be open toward Calvary.

We have prayed also for your husband in this heavy trial. Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself and fail, and in such days of watching and waiting the heart grows faint. But the promise stands sure, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and as thy days so shall thy strength be. The Lord does not promise strength for days we have not yet seen, but strength enough for the day and for the duty of the hour. When there remains no strength in us, we may fling ourselves upon the divine strength and find that He Himself will strengthen us, for He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength.

May your husband be enabled to wait upon the Lord in sincere private devotion, even if it be with sobs and tears and groans that cannot be uttered, for the Lord understands the language of a burdened heart. May he prove that secret communion with God gives vigor to press on, and that the joy of the Lord becomes our strength in the darkest watch.

Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. It is not that He is unaware of your anxiety for daily needs and for your family, but He would have you bring every care to Him who in perfect wisdom and omnipotent strength can bear it. So we commend you both to Him who is the glory of all true strength, praying that whether it be for recovery or for patient endurance, you may find His grace sufficient and His presence very near, to uphold, to comfort, and to sustain you through this difficult time.
