Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. The Lord sees what you are carrying at work and at home, the weight of toxic surroundings, the financial pressure, and the concern for your friend who needs healing. It is right to come to Him as you have, asking for grace and mercy, because only He can truly help.

In the New Testament the common greeting to believers is grace and peace, and at times mercy is added as well. There is a reason for that order. Mercy means not receiving what we do deserve because of our sin. Grace means receiving what we do not deserve, the kindness and blessing of God poured out freely. When we pray we do not ask God for justice, for justice would leave us without hope. We ask for mercy, and God goes even further and gives us grace.

You said you need mercy badly and wonder if it could run out. Scripture answers that His mercy endures forever. It is not a shallow or short lived mercy. One psalm says it is as high as the heavens are above the earth, which speaks of how deep and wide it is to cover sin, and another reminds us that it lasts without end. The God who created all things is also the God who established His purposes for His people, and His mercy is still available today. All you have to do is call upon the Lord and it is there for you. He is not looking for a reason to condemn. He looks for a reason to show mercy, as He did when He put it on Moses heart to intercede for the people, and then answered, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. That sovereign mercy has now been extended to all through Jesus Christ.

That is where mercy and truth meet. Truth and justice require that sin be dealt with, and mercy desires that the sinner be forgiven. They come together in Jesus. Through His death and resurrection God can be both just and merciful, forgiving the guilty and giving peace with Himself. That is why every good thing God has for you is found in Christ. You do not receive it apart from Him, but in Him it is all included.

This also means we do not come to God on the basis of our works. Grace and works cannot be mixed as if we could earn part and He gives the rest. If it is by grace it is no longer by works, and if it is by works then grace is no longer grace. We are saved not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy, by grace through faith. So you can come just as you are, poor and needy, and appeal to His goodness, His loving kindness, and His mercy in Christ.

For the toxicity you face, I pray the Lord will be your protection and give you peace. Peace is the result of knowing you have received grace and mercy. May He guard your heart and mind, set boundaries where needed, give you wisdom for difficult relationships at work and at home, and let His presence go with you as the true sign of His favor.

For your financial need, I pray He will provide for you day by day and give you wisdom to steward what He supplies. He knows your needs and He is able to supply them, not as a reward for earning it but as a gracious Father who cares for His children.

For your friend who needs healing, I pray the Lord will touch that body and bring restoration according to His will. The apostle John wrote to a friend that he wished he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. That is a beautiful prayer and wish for a loved one, though it is not given as a guaranteed promise for every case. It does remind us that God cares for the whole person, and the greatest prosperity is that of the soul in Christ. So we pray for bodily healing while we keep trusting Him for the deeper health of the soul.

May you know today that His mercy has not run out on you, that His grace is abundantly available, and that His peace can guard you even while the pressures remain. You are right to look only to God for help, and He hears you when you call.

I am praying for you that God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will show you fresh mercy, pour out His unmerited favor, and keep you in His peace. That He will shield you from harm, give you strength for each day at work and at home, provide for your needs, and bring healing and comfort to your friend. That He will remind you that you are forgiven and accepted not by your own efforts but by His mercy and grace through Jesus, and that you can walk in His truth with a renewed soul. In Jesus name, amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift you up, thanking God with you that He kept you out of harms way, and bringing before Him the burdens you shared. We have been praying for His mercy and grace over you in this season where you are going through a lot, for His protection from the toxicity you are facing at work and at home, for His provision and blessing over your finances, and for healing for you and for your friend. We know you are in need of Gods mercy badly and that only God can help, and we cling to His promise that His grace is sufficient for you as it says in 2 Cor 12:9.

If your request was answered and you have seen His mercy, protection, provision or healing, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name for the Lord to cover you with His mercy, to be your shelter and protection, to pour out His grace and peace upon you daily, and to provide for every need according to His riches.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
