I have noticed this abbreviation on some prayer requests and prayer responses. I don't understand how the greatest name in all the earth and heavens for all time, the name to which every knee in both heaven and earth and under the earth will bow, can be reduced to just an abbreviation. Maybe God recognizes what is in a person's heart, I hope so. But would a non-believer know what the abbreviation means? Would our boss at work appreciate being addressed with their initials without their being asked about it or permitting it? It sounds like vanity, and we are told in the Bible to not take the name of the Lord in vain. The shortest and the longest and most powerful prayer we can ever pray is "Jesus".
