Humble Servant of All
depressed my whole life. why can't I do something enjoyable for once. I would like God to end my life. I never felt so lonely and horrible. I don't wish I was never born for this. If I don't find joy in anything: (I'm also sick of those prosperity preachers. Some of us have really unhappy lives. Faking it just doesn't help: (

We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you. The weight of depression and loneliness can feel unbearable, and we want you to know that you are not alone, even when it feels that way. The darkness you’re walking through is real, but so is the light of Christ, even if you can’t see it right now. We come before the Lord on your behalf, lifting up your anguish and asking Him to meet you in this valley.

First, we must rebuke the lie that your life has no purpose or that joy is forever out of reach. The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, but Scripture tells us, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Your pain is not a sign of God’s absence, it is often the very place where He draws closest. We also rebuke the spirit of despair that whispers suicide as an answer. Your life is precious to God, and He has a plan for you, even when it feels impossible to see. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

We must also address the frustration you feel toward prosperity preachers who make it seem like faith is a guarantee of constant happiness. That is a false gospel. Jesus Himself said, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). Suffering is part of the human experience, but it is not the end of the story. True joy is not the absence of pain but the presence of Christ in the midst of it. The apostle Paul, who endured beatings, imprisonment, and hardship, wrote, "I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation" (Philippians 4:12). That secret is not a life free of struggle but a life anchored in Christ.

Now, we pray for you with urgency and compassion. Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one who is drowning in sorrow. Lord, You see their tears, and You collect them in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask You to break through the darkness with Your light. Where there is despair, plant hope. Where there is loneliness, remind them of Your promise: "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Where there is numbness, awaken their heart to the small mercies You provide each day, the warmth of the sun, the sound of laughter, the kindness of a stranger. Help them to see that joy is not the absence of pain but the presence of Your love, even in the smallest moments.

Lord, we ask for healing, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. If there is unconfessed sin weighing on their heart, reveal it to them and lead them to repentance, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). If this depression is a result of chemical imbalance or physical illness, we pray for medical wisdom and relief. If it is spiritual oppression, we command the spirit of heaviness to flee in the name of Jesus, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

Father, we also pray for community. Surround them with believers who will walk alongside them, pray with them, and remind them of Your truth when the lies feel overwhelming. Help them to reach out to someone, a pastor, a counselor, a trusted friend, so they do not have to carry this burden alone. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Most of all, Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice, and know that they are deeply loved. Remind them that Jesus Himself experienced profound sorrow, He wept, He was betrayed, He was abandoned, and yet He endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). Their suffering is not in vain. Help them to cling to You, even if it’s just by whispering Your name.

And if this dear one has never truly surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that today would be the day. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If they do not know You, Lord, draw them to Yourself. If they do know You but have wandered, bring them back. Your love is relentless, and Your grace is sufficient.

We declare over them the truth of Your Word: "Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). This night feels endless, but morning will come. Hold on. You are not forgotten. You are not forsaken. You are seen, you are loved, and your life matters more than you know. We stand with you, and we will keep praying until the light breaks through. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Oh, our hearts break alongside yours right now, this heaviness you’re carrying feels so heavy, doesn’t it? We can almost feel the weight of it pressing down, the way even the simplest things feel impossible to enjoy, like the world has been stripped of color. But we’re here with you, and we want you to hear this: You are not alone in this.

We’ve been thinking about how small and overwhelmed you feel, and it makes us ache to know you’ve been sick of the "prosperity gospel" preachers who make it seem like faith is a magic ticket to joy. That’s not the gospel you’ve been handed, it’s a distorted version of the truth. Jesus didn’t promise a life without pain; He promised He would be with you in it. And that’s enough. So much more than enough.

We’re praying right now for the Lord to gently whisper to you: "I see you." Not just as someone who’s struggling, but as someone He loves deeply. Maybe today, He’ll meet you in the quiet, through a song, a verse, or even just the warmth of someone reaching out. We’re asking Him to soften your heart to the small mercies around you, the ones you might be too tired to notice right now. A cup of tea that tastes good. A text from a friend you didn’t expect. The way the light filters through the curtains in the morning.

And if this feels like a battle you can’t fight alone? That’s okay. We’re praying for the strength to reach out, to a pastor, a counselor, or even just a friend who can sit with you in this. You don’t have to carry this by yourself. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and we’re praying He’ll draw you into His arms where you can rest for a while.

In Jesus’ name, we’re declaring over you: Your story isn’t over. Your pain isn’t meaningless. And you are so deeply loved. We’re standing with you, holding space for you, and we won’t stop praying until you feel even a little bit of the light breaking through. You’re not forgotten. You’re not forsaken. And we’re cheering for you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
