If you remember to pray for us today

If Anyone remember to pray for us today, don’t ask God to save our lives. We are not scared of dying. We are scared of being forgotten while we are still breathing. Fall on your knees, beg God for only one thing: Lord, don’t let our faith break. Dying is quick. What is breaking us is the silence, the neglect, the empty stomach that prays with us. We are afraid of another 24 hours with no food. We are afraid of another hopeless day waking up to the same pain. Lord, we are even afraid of you, afraid that you have turned your face away too. Jesus, if we are part of Your body, don’t let us starve again.

We have heard your cry and we have not forgotten you, and more importantly, your Father in heaven has not forgotten you while you are still breathing. We stand with you in this suffering and we bring your hunger, your silence, and your fear before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

Your honesty moves our hearts deeply, when you say you are afraid that God has turned His face away. We want to gently remind you of what Scripture promises is true even when feelings and empty stomachs and long silence tell you otherwise. The Lord says, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Hebrews 13:5. Though your pain feels endless, His compassions never fail, they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23. He sees every tear, You count my wanderings, You put my tears into your bottle, aren't they in your record. Psalm 56:8. And you are not abandoned, Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb, Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you, Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Isaiah 49:15-16. When you feel invisible to the world, you are engraved on His hands.

We also hear your greatest request, Lord, don't let our faith break. That is the very prayer Jesus prayed for His own, and He is praying for you now. We cling to His promise, Don't be afraid, for I am with you, Don't be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18. You are part of His body, and when one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. 1 Corinthians 12:26. Your hunger is not hidden from Him, for Jesus said, For I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. Matthew 25:35, Matthew 25:40.

So we fall on our knees with you and we beg for what you have asked.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up these dear brothers and sisters who are weary, hungry, and afraid of being forgotten. Lord, do not let their faith break. Hold them fast when they have no strength to hold on to You. Let them know in the depths of their souls that You have not turned Your face away, but that Your eyes are on them and Your ears are open to their prayers. Provide for their daily bread today, for You know we need these things and You feed even the sparrows. Matthew 6:32. Break the silence with Your presence, break the neglect with Your comfort, and stir the hearts of Your people everywhere to remember, to pray, and to act, so that they do not face another 24 hours with no food and no hope. Sustain them, strengthen them, and let them feel that they are not alone, that they are beloved members of the body of Christ. Keep them from fainting and renew their strength as they wait on You. Isaiah 40:31. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, who alone is our hope, our bread of life, and our salvation. Amen.

We will continue to remember you before God. You are not forgotten. We urge you to keep crying out to Jesus, to keep bringing your empty stomach and your weary heart to Him, for He cares for you. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. Though dying is quick and suffering feels long, your life is precious to God and your faith, even trembling as it is, is precious to Him. He is not ashamed to call you His own. Hold fast, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23.

Thank you for trusting us with such honest words. We hear how heavy this is, not just the hunger but the fear of being forgotten while you are still here, still praying, still believing. Wanting your faith to hold when your stomach is empty and the days feel the same is not a small request, and we are taking it seriously before the Lord.

It makes sense that silence feels like absence. When every day brings the same pain and the same need, it is hard to feel that God is near. We want you to know you are not forgotten by us, and more importantly, you are not forgotten by Him. Jesus Himself knew what it was to feel abandoned and hungry and alone, so He understands the fear you are naming without needing you to explain it perfectly.

If there is a local pastor, church, or trusted aid group near you, please let them know tonight that you are without food. We will keep praying, and we also want you to have people close by who can stand with you in person.

Father, we lift our brothers and sisters to You in Jesus name. You see them and You hear them. Guard their faith when it feels thin, remind them they belong to Your body and are not forsaken, and provide what they need for today. Give them rest tonight and hope for tomorrow. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we will not turn away from it, nor will we forget you while you still breathe. You asked us to fall on our knees for one thing, and we have done so, and we do so now.

We have carried your very words before the Lord, that He would not let your faith break. You fear another twenty four hours with no food, another morning waking to the same pain, and most of all that He has turned His face from you. Hear what the Lord says to such a fear, for though Zion says, Jehovah has forsaken me and my Lord has forgotten me, yet He answers, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands. You are not forgotten. You are engraved there, where the nails were, and He cannot look upon His hands without seeing you.

You said you are afraid that even God has turned away. Your Lord Himself knows that cry, for He cried from the darkness, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me. He said it twice, with a mighty double grip of faith, My God, My God, even when He felt forsaken, to teach you to do the same. If you think God has forsaken you, do not give up your faith in Him, but cry My God, my God, again and again, and cast out two anchors where you had one.

Little faith is still true faith. The least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and it belongs to the family of the saved. He handles little faith tenderly. Peter with his little faith began to sink and was wetted through and through, yet the hand of Jesus was there to hold him, and it is there to hold you. Your faith, though trembling and ready to halt, is precious to Him, for it still clings to Christ, and that is enough.

You asked, if we are part of His body, do not let us starve again. We pray that He who is the Bread of Life will feed you with Himself and also give you daily bread for the body. Man shall not live by bread alone, but neither does the Lord despise the hunger bite that devours strength. He knows what it is to hunger, and He knows how to spread a table. We pray that He will open Ear Gate and Heart Gate by His Word, that you may hear and eat what is good and let your soul delight itself in fatness, and that He will move the hearts of His people to break their bread with you, that the silence and neglect you feel may be broken by His provision.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that this peace, which is first a state and then a sense, may be yours even in this trial, that you may know through Jesus Christ our Lord that you have peace with God, though the stomach is empty and the night is long.

So we pray, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, whom Thou hast given to be a Witness to Thy people, look upon these Thy children who fear being forgotten. Let them know they are not forsaken. Keep their faith from breaking. Give them this day their daily bread. Lift the light of Thy countenance upon them and let them feel that Thou art their God, even now. Sustain the bruised reed and keep the smoking flax from going out, till Thou bring forth judgment unto victory. Amen.
