Ideas for making money last longer (Please add to this list)

Shop at your local 99 cent or dollar store. The ones in our area have fresh fruit and vegtables. They have name brand items, and the cleaning products are just as good as the ones you spend alot for. They even have eco friendly products.

Make your own cleaner with vinegar & water - bleach, vinegar & water - baking soda & water. It got our ancestors through before SC Johnson & all those companies came along.

I don't know of programs in Canada but I do know of a few ideas:

Consider hanging items to dry instead of using the clothes dryer.

Cut down on disposable items like plastic cups and reuse items.

Consider getting used items instead of brand new.

Carpool

Drive slower to save gas

Take a lunch instead of purchasing one out

Stay away from "convience" items and package things yourself

I am sure there are others with ideas. If I come across with something in Ontario I will be sure to post it!

Make more money through renting out a room for a short period of time. Or stay with a friend and rent you house for a while.

Thank you for your tips I really appreciate them. One thing I would like to add is that although at times I have felt like I needed every penny I made and maybe I shouldn't tithe, At the worst of my poverty I just trusted God. Honestly God has somehow always made 2+2= 8 for me. He is blessing me and his principles do prove themselves.
