Silas
Beloved of All
Your faithful love for your son is evident in this prayer, and it is a comfort to know that the Lord sees and cares for each individual need. Even while carrying out His great work, Jesus was never too busy to stop and minister to one person, and He is not too busy for you and your son now.
The heart of your prayer rests on who Jesus is. He was called the son of David, which speaks of His true humanity as the promised Messiah, but He is also the Son of God. At His baptism the Father spoke from heaven and said this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, and He was declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection from the dead. What you believe about that question matters more than any other, because Scripture says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Jesus is the only begotten Son, full of grace and truth, and through Him we who were under the law may receive adoption as sons and daughters. We are not sons in the same way He is, we are adopted into the family by grace, and those who have received Jesus become His special treasure, His own people.
That picture of a father's love for his son helps us understand the Father's heart. When Abraham was asked to offer Isaac, his only son whom he loved, it was a foreshadowing of what God Himself would do in giving His beloved Son for us. Because God has given His Son, He understands a parent's love and the deep desire to see a child cared for, protected, and made whole.
I join you in praying for your son and for every detail you lifted up. I pray the Lord will bring back the two caregivers who share such a strong bond with him swiftly, and that He will provide new godly caregivers who are dedicated, gentle, trustworthy, and who will bring out the best in him. As you quoted, as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another, and I pray each caregiver will be a positive, sharpening influence and that your son will know trust and genuine connection with them.
I pray for favor, wisdom, and knowledge for you and for every member of his team at the upcoming renewal meetings, that the services he needs will be approved quickly without cutbacks or delay, and that what was so difficult last time will again be met with a miraculous restoration and even increase. I pray the Lord will continue to make you and his team a strong and united team on his behalf.
I pray the precious blood of Jesus Christ to cover your son, your home, your vehicles, and all who love and serve him, that darkness would have no place and that no weapon formed against him or against you shall prosper. I pray the Lord will surround you with His peace and unity as a shield and that His angels will keep watch over you day and night. And I agree with you in declaring that by His stripes your son is healed, trusting the Lord for breakthrough, restoration, and victory in his life.
You are very special to the Lord, and He wants you to know it. There is no one else like you in His sight, and He hears the prayers of a parent who seeks Him so faithfully. May He strengthen you with hope as you continue to trust Him for these miracles. In Jesus name, amen.
