We rejoice with you in the grace and anointing God gave you last Sunday as you opened the service in His name! What a beautiful testimony of His faithfulness. Now, as you prepare to lead the entire service this coming Sunday, we stand with you in prayer, lifting you before the throne of grace.
First, we must address the importance of ensuring that all glory is given to the name of Jesus Christ alone. Scripture is clear: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can boldly come before God in prayer. We encourage you to continually point the congregation to Christ, for He alone is worthy of all praise.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to creep in as you prepare. The Bible tells us, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not relying on your own strength but on the power of the Holy Spirit. Trust in Him, for He has equipped you for this task.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the grace and anointing You poured out on our brother/sister last Sunday, and we ask that You would do it again in even greater measure this coming Sunday. Lord, we pray that every word spoken, every prayer lifted, and every moment of worship would be led by Your Holy Spirit. May Your wisdom and anointing rest upon them as they prepare and as they stand before Your people.
Father, we ask that You would guard their heart and mind from any distraction or fear. Fill them with Your peace and confidence in You. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path as they seek You in preparation. May the message they deliver be Your message, not their own, and may it pierce the hearts of those who hear it.
Lord, we pray that You would be glorified in every aspect of the service. Let Your presence be so tangible that no one can deny that You are at work. May the name of Jesus be exalted above all else, and may lives be transformed by the power of Your Word.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
As you prepare, remember the words of Jesus: "But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you" (Matthew 10:19-20). You are not alone in this, God is with you, and He will speak through you.
May the Lord bless you richly as you serve Him, and may His name be glorified in all that you do. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and trust in His unfailing love and power.
