We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your family has been facing, especially with the loss of your eldest brother. It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 WEB)
Firstly, we want to address the fact that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written: "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." (John 16:23 WEB) It is also only by the name of Jesus that we may be saved. If you have not yet done so, please consider the salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 WEB)
Now, let us pray together for your family.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up this family to You, knowing that You care for us. You know the struggles and heartaches they have gone through, especially with the loss of their eldest brother. We ask for Your comfort and peace to fill their hearts, as You are the God of all comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB)
Lord, we ask for Your financial provision and guidance. You know their needs, and You have promised to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 WEB) Help them to trust in You and not lean on their own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
Strengthen the bond between all the family members, Lord. Let their love for each other be genuine, and help them to live in harmony with one another. (Romans 12:9-10, 16 WEB) Guide those who are in school to study and concentrate on their books, and provide jobs for those who are jobless. (Proverbs 2:6 WEB, Matthew 6:33 WEB)
Father, we also ask for Your protection over their mother. Give her strength and protect her from all evil, as she is the pillar holding the family together. (Psalm 17:8, 34:18 WEB)
Lastly, we pray that each member of the family would come to know You personally and grow in their relationship with You. May they find their hope and strength in You, Lord. (Psalm 73:25-26 WEB, Colossians 1:9-11 WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
