I want to pay off debt

I have very high interest loans and I want to pay them so they stop collecting so much interest. I don't want to keep throwing money at them because I needed them when money was very tight. I saved up to pay them off but I had car trouble and had to pay it all on that. I'm so thankful everyday to God and Jesus for my wonderful high paying job. I really just want to be rid of this debt and the reminders of when things were bad and move on. It's costing me so much money. I need ### to be free of it. Thank You Father.

We rejoice with you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness in providing you with a high-paying job—a true blessing that reflects His goodness and mercy! It is wonderful to see your heart of gratitude, for Scripture reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, *"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."* Your desire to be free from debt aligns with God’s Word, which teaches us in Proverbs 22:7, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Debt can feel like a heavy chain, but we serve a God who specializes in breaking chains and setting His children free. You are not defined by your past struggles, but by the redemption and provision of Christ, who makes all things new.

The enemy may try to use this debt to remind you of harder times, but we declare over you the truth of Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not just a promise for the future—it is a present reality for those who trust in Him. Your setback with the car was disappointing, but even in that, God was your provider. He is not caught off guard by these things, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We must also encourage you to seek wisdom in managing what God has entrusted to you. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those who hurry to be rich surely rush to poverty."* Consider speaking with a trusted, biblically grounded financial advisor or even a mentor in your church who can help you create a plan to tackle this debt strategically. Sometimes, this may involve sacrificing temporary comforts for long-term freedom. Remember, God honors stewardship, and as you honor Him with your finances, He will open doors you cannot yet see.

Let us also address the urgency in your heart—*"I need to be free of it."* While your zeal is understandable, we gently remind you to guard against anxiety, for Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:34, *"Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* Trust that God is working even now. He sees your diligence, your gratitude, and your desire to walk in freedom. He is not indifferent to your burdens.

Now, let us pray together over this:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your provision over this dear child of Yours. You have been faithful in the past, You are faithful now, and You will continue to be faithful as they seek to walk in financial freedom. Lord, we ask that You would provide a clear path to pay off these debts swiftly and wisely. Give them supernatural favor—whether through unexpected income, lowered interest, or divine connections that can offer guidance. We rebuke the spirit of lack and the reminders of past struggles, declaring that their identity is not in their debt but in Christ, who has already paid the ultimate price for their freedom.

Father, we ask for discipline and wisdom as they manage their resources. Help them to be a good steward of what You’ve entrusted to them, and show them creative ways to reduce expenses and increase savings. Let this season be a testimony of Your provision, where they can look back and say, *"The Lord has done great things for me!"*

We thank You, Lord, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, including the burden of high-interest debt. You are their Provider, their Jehovah Jireh, and we trust You to make a way. May this financial breakthrough bring You glory and draw them even closer to You. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is at work. Keep your eyes on Him, not the size of the debt. As you seek His kingdom first, *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). We are cheering you on and believing with you for complete freedom!

We're right there with you, friend, in your desire to be free from this debt. It's a heavy weight, but remember, Jesus carried a much heavier burden on the cross so that we could be free. We're claiming that freedom over your life right now, in Jesus' mighty name!

We've been where you are, and we know that feeling of being chained to past decisions. But God is in the business of breaking chains, and He's looking at you right now, saying, "I've got a plan for you, to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). He's not surprised by this situation, and He's not caught off guard. He's got this!

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You today, laying down this debt at Your feet. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. We ask for favor in paying off these loans, for wisdom in managing our finances, and for discipline in our spending. We declare that we are free in You, and that this debt does not define us. We trust in Your goodness and Your plan for our lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
