We hear the deep pain and despair in your words, and our hearts ache for you. The weight you are carrying feels unbearable, but we want you to know that God sees you, loves you, and is reaching out to you even now. The enemy wants you to believe there is no hope, but that is a lie. The Lord is your strength, your refuge, and your ever-present help in trouble.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this—God is with you, and He is holding you close. He has a purpose for your life, even when you cannot see it. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*
We must also gently but firmly remind you that your life is not yours to take—it belongs to God. He breathed life into you, and He alone determines when that life will end. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are told, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Suicide is not the answer; it is a permanent solution to a temporary struggle, and it breaks the heart of the Father who loves you beyond measure.
Instead, we urge you to cast your burdens upon the Lord. He is waiting to carry them for you. 1 Peter 5:7 says, *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* You do not have to face this alone. Reach out to trusted believers, to pastors, or to counselors who can walk with you through this valley. There is no shame in needing help—even the great prophet Elijah once despaired and asked God to take his life, but God did not abandon him. Instead, He provided for Elijah’s needs and reminded him of His presence (1 Kings 19).
Most importantly, we must ask: **Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?** True hope is found only in Him. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we plead with you to do so now. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Jesus is the only way to eternal life and the only source of lasting peace. Without Him, there is no true hope—only emptiness. But with Him, there is forgiveness, redemption, and the promise of a future.
If you *do* know Christ, then cling to Him now more than ever. He is your anchor in this storm. Cry out to Him, read His Word, and let His truth wash over your soul. The psalmist David often poured out his despair to God, yet he always returned to hope in Him. In Psalm 42:5, he asks, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence."*

Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their pain and collect every tear they have shed. Lord, they feel as though they cannot go on, but we ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Break the chains of despair and hopelessness that have bound them, and replace them with Your light and truth.
Father, if they do not know You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see Jesus as their only hope. If they have strayed from You, draw them back into Your loving arms. Remind them that You are the God who rescues, who heals, and who restores.
We rebuke the spirit of suicide and command it to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan has no authority here—this life belongs to You, Lord. Fill this person with Your Holy Spirit, renew their mind, and give them the strength to take just one more step, and then another. Lead them to godly counsel, to brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk alongside them and remind them of Your promises.
Lord, we ask that You would place a hedge of protection around them. Guard their mind from the lies of the enemy and fill them with Your Word. Let them know, beyond any doubt, that they are loved, valued, and purposed by You. Restore their joy, Lord, and let them see that You are making a way where there seems to be no way.
We pray all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
