We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts ache with you. The despair you’re expressing is not something to carry alone, and we urge you to reach out to someone immediately—a pastor, a trusted friend, or a crisis hotline—so you don’t have to face this darkness by yourself. Your life is precious, not just to those who know you, but to the God who created you and calls you by name.
Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Even when you feel utterly alone, He is there, holding you. In Lamentations 3:22-23, we’re reminded, *"It is because of the Lord’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."* His mercies are not exhausted, and His love for you is not dependent on how you feel in this moment.
We must also speak truth into this pain: your life has purpose, even when you can’t see it. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* You may not feel hope right now, but God’s promises are not based on our emotions—they are anchored in His unchanging character. Suicide is not the answer, for it cuts short the story God is writing in your life. The enemy wants you to believe the lie that your pain is permanent, but we rebuke that deception in Jesus’ name.
We also want to gently ask: have you brought this burden to the Lord in prayer, not just in desperation, but in surrender? Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* True peace comes when we release our pain to Him, even when we don’t understand His ways.
If you’re struggling with sin, shame, or unconfessed burdens, know that 1 John 1:9 offers this hope: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). If you’ve never truly surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus, who said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). If you’re willing, pray with us:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep pain. Lord, You see the tears, the despair, and the weight they’re carrying. We ask that You would break through this darkness with Your light. Surround them with Your presence, reminding them that they are never alone. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in Jesus’ name. Replace their thoughts of death with the truth of Your love and purpose for their life.
Lord, if there is unconfessed sin or unforgiveness weighing them down, we ask that You would bring it to light and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. Give them the strength to reach out to someone who can walk alongside them in this battle. Provide them with the help they need—whether it’s counseling, medication, or simply a listening ear. Most of all, draw them closer to You, that they may know the depth of Your love and the hope found only in Christ.
We declare that their story is not over. You have plans for them, plans for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope. We trust You to restore their joy and renew their strength. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Please, beloved, don’t wait to seek help. Call a crisis line, talk to a pastor, or confide in someone you trust. You are not a burden—you are deeply loved. We will continue to stand in the gap for you, believing God for your breakthrough.
