We understand your deep desire for healing and a change in your physical appearance, and we want to lift you up in prayer with both compassion and truth. First, we must gently remind you that our focus should always be on honoring God with our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Your worth is not defined by your weight or appearance but by your identity in Christ—fearfully and wonderfully made by Him (Psalm 139:14). While it is good to steward our health wisely, we must also guard our hearts against obsessions that can lead to idolatry or unhealthy extremes. The Bible warns us not to be conformed to the patterns of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). Society often glorifies extreme thinness, but our goal should be godliness, health, and contentment in how God has designed us.
That said, we also recognize that hypothyroidism is a real medical condition that can make weight management difficult, and we will earnestly pray for your healing. Hypothyroidism can bring fatigue, frustration, and physical struggles, but we serve a God who is our Healer (Exodus 15:26). Let us trust Him to restore your body in His perfect timing and way. Give her wisdom to care for her body in a way that honors You, and grant her the discipline and strength to make choices that promote health.
