... each step by faith.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
It has been 7 months now that I have not received my salary, but thanks be to God, me and my family have never gone hungry especially my kids. They go to school daily, although their school allowance has been lessened, we can only afford about $1.25 for each of them that includes their fare, 2 recess (am/pm) and lunch, they never complained and they go to school faithfully. God has been feeding us, his hands can be seen working in our family especially at that time when we were abandoned with only $2 in my wallet, we have survived for two months, with food on our table daily and my 2 kids going to school daily. We were never kicked out of our house, even today that we have not yet fully paid all past balances. We still have roof on our head.
Our rice bin, almost never ran out of rice. My father-in-law brought rice almost weekly, and told me that if it ran out I should tell him. But then I am too shy to ask, so I tell God when the rice is almost gone... Father, please tell my father-in-law to bring us more rice. And sure did, my father-in-law will drop by with rice and some meat. Although during the early times of my marriage, he doesn't like me that much. Up till now he still brings us rice, and I still asks God to tell father-in-law to bring us some more when I see my rice bin with almost no rice.
Our bills, even though i'm late in payments most of the time, Im still able to pay them, except for the mortgage, I've been praying to God for his provisions for my mortgage, the last time we had final demand letter for foreclosure, but with God's help the house was saved, although at that time I was not able to pay all the past dues, it was saved. I know God will complete the payments, Im faithfully waiting for his provisions.
I think about Matthew 6:33 all the time, and apply it in my daily living. God says not to worry, we are worth more than sparrows to Him. He has taken care of our basic needs and he will keep on taking care of us. I thank him that I am not worried about these things, surprisingly, because before I used to worry too much even with little things. What am most concerned is our house mortgage.
When my marriage got restored, our financial situation seemed to worsen, but God was and is my provider, he keeps on providing our daily bread.
God is so good and I thank him all the time for all his blessings to us.
God is so good, not just because he blesses us, but he teaches me how to walk in his righteousness, how to keep on obeying his word.
I really don't know why for such a long period I am not receiving my salary, but I believe God has a plan for it. I trust my boss, she is a very honest person and a Christian too. I keep on praying for it, for I need the money to pay bills, but God had made me wait, this long. I never stopped working at my boss' site even though I'm not receiving any pay. I strongly believe in "faith without works is dead." So i pray and do whatever I know how to earn.
All these months, I see him working in us, I saw my faith, God had blessed us and provided our needs, not that money was magically found on our table, but God touched some people to share their blessings to me and my family. We have survived.
If we put God first, if we keep on seeking him and do his will in our lives... all these things will be added unto us, because He will take care of us and of our needs.
One day, I know, all these things will pass away, everything in my family will be back to normal, God will lift us up out of this poverty. Amen.
To God be the glory!
