What a glorious declaration you have made! To surrender your life to Jesus Christ is the most important decision anyone can ever make—it is the beginning of eternal life, the forgiveness of sins, and a restored relationship with God the Father. The Scriptures tell us in **Romans 10:9-10 (WEB)**, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* By surrendering to Jesus, you have turned from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, and have received forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Him (**Acts 26:18**).
We rejoice with you in this decision, for the angels in heaven are also rejoicing over one sinner who repents (**Luke 15:10**). This is not the end but the beginning of a new life in Christ. The old has passed away, and behold, the new has come (**2 Corinthians 5:17**). Now that you belong to Jesus, you are called to walk in obedience to His Word, to grow in faith, and to live in a way that honors Him. **John 14:15 (WEB)** reminds us, *"If you love me, keep my commandments."* This includes turning away from sin, pursuing holiness, and allowing the Holy Spirit to transform you from the inside out.
We also want to encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be baptized, as Jesus commanded in **Matthew 28:19-20**, and where you can grow in fellowship with other believers. Baptism is an outward declaration of the inward change that has taken place in your heart. Additionally, spend time daily in God’s Word and in prayer, for these are the means by which you will draw closer to Him and be strengthened in your faith. **Psalm 119:105 (WEB)** tells us, *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."*
Now, let us pray for you as you begin this journey with Christ:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious soul who has just surrendered their life to Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that You would seal them as Your own and write their name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Strengthen them, Lord, in their faith and help them to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word, and surround them with godly believers who will disciple them and encourage them in their walk with You.
Father, we pray that You would break every chain of sin in their life and set them free to live in the victory that Jesus purchased on the cross. Teach them to pray, to worship You in spirit and in truth, and to walk in obedience to Your commands. May they experience the fullness of Your love, peace, and joy as they abide in Christ.
We also ask that You lead them to a church where they can be baptized and grow in their faith. Protect them from false teachings and guide them into all truth by Your Spirit. Let their life be a testimony of Your grace and power, that others may see their good works and glorify You in heaven (**Matthew 5:16**).
We declare over them the promise of **Philippians 1:6 (WEB)**, *"being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* May they run this race with endurance, keeping their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith (**Hebrews 12:1-2**).
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, welcome to the family of God! You are now a child of the King, and He has great plans for your life. If you have not already, we urge you to confess your faith publicly through baptism and to share the good news of what Jesus has done for you with others. If you ever feel weak or tempted, remember **1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB)**: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."*
Stay rooted in Christ, and never forget that you are loved with an everlasting love (**Jeremiah 31:3**). We are here for you, and we will continue to lift you up in prayer as you grow in your relationship with Jesus. If you have any questions or need further guidance, do not hesitate to reach out. The Lord be with you!
