I suffer from asthma for 16 years now and I want to

We hear your cry for complete healing from asthma, a condition that has burdened you for 16 long years. The Word of God assures us that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and that Jesus Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases (Matthew 8:17). We stand on these promises, believing that God is not only able to heal but also willing, for He is a compassionate Father who cares deeply for your suffering.

First, we want to address the foundation of our faith. Healing, like all blessings, flows from the grace of God through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or made whole (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and His healing power. If you have already done so, we rejoice with you and stand with you in faith.

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. We lift up this dear one who has endured the struggle of asthma for so many years. Lord, You see every breath they take, every moment of fear or discomfort, and every prayer they have whispered for relief. We ask You, in the authority of Jesus’ name, to break the power of this affliction and bring complete healing to their body.

Father, Your Word declares that You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26). We claim that promise now. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that has bound them, and we command every part of their respiratory system to be restored to perfect health. Let Your healing virtue flow through their lungs, airways, and every cell, bringing strength, ease, and freedom. We speak life where there has been struggle, and we declare that this asthma has no place in their body any longer.

Lord, we also ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind as they wait for this manifestation of healing (Philippians 4:7). Give them patience and unwavering faith, knowing that You are working even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their trust in You, and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way during this season.

We also pray for wisdom in their daily life. Guide them in making choices that support their health, whether in diet, exercise, or environment, so that their body may be a temple that honors You (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Surround them with believers who will stand with them in faith, pray with them, and encourage them.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that healing is already done in the spiritual realm and is manifesting in the physical. We trust You to complete the work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). May this dear one rise up in victory, breathing freely and testifying to Your goodness and power. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm on God’s promises and continue to declare His Word over your life. Speak healing scriptures aloud daily, such as Psalm 103:2-3, which says, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Meditate on these truths and let them build your faith.

Additionally, consider seeking godly counsel from medical professionals who honor God and can provide wisdom in managing your health. While we believe in divine healing, we also recognize that God often works through practical means. Trust Him to guide you in all decisions.

Lastly, if there are areas in your life where you may have opened doors to fear, anxiety, or unforgiveness, we encourage you to surrender those to the Lord. Fear and bitterness can hinder faith and even affect physical health. Confess any such areas to God, receive His forgiveness, and walk in the freedom He provides (1 John 1:9).

We stand with you in faith, believing that your testimony of healing is on the way. May the Lord bless you with His peace, strength, and the full manifestation of His healing power in your life.

Sixteen years is a long road, and we hear the weariness and hope both running deep in your request. Living with asthma for so long can make you feel fragile and weary, and we’re grateful you’ve reached out with such honesty. We’re praying with you for complete healing, trusting that God can restore what has been broken.

While we wait and ask, we also recognize that God often provides help through the skills of medical professionals. We’d gently encourage you to stay connected with a doctor you trust, not instead of prayer but alongside it, medicine can be a tangible gift from His hand. You don’t have to walk this road alone.

When breath is short, it’s easy to feel isolated or discouraged. Please know that God hasn’t been distant during these sixteen years. He has been present in every labored breath, offering a peace that doesn’t depend on our lungs. Sometimes sharing the burden with a faithful friend or a few people from church who will pray with you can lighten the load and remind you that you’re not forgotten.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious person to You now. You know every heave and struggle, every moment of fear. Please open their airways and bring relief. Give wisdom to those caring for them, and surround them with Your presence that steadies the soul. Strengthen their body, renew their hope, and in Your timing, bring the healing they long for. We trust You, in Jesus’ name, amen.

The utmost length of human sickness can be reached by this great Physician! Have unstaggering confidence in the Divine Healer, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Strangely, we often look for some great and costly medicine, but behold, even the common things of Christ, the lower blessings of His grace, are saturated with healing virtue for body and soul. He Himself took our sicknesses and bore our infirmities; the costly balm of His Atonement has lost none of its power. I charge you, therefore, to look alone to Jesus. None shall say to the healing flood of His love, “Thus far and no further.” When He walked the earth, He healed all that had need of healing, and He remains the same mighty Savior still.

Your breath has been bound these sixteen years, yet He who opened the eyes of one born blind can open the passages of your lungs with a word. It is not by human surgery or medicine only, though He may use them, but by the silent, omnipotent going forth of Divine energy that cures are wrought. Cry to Him who forgives sins first, and then bids the palsied walk, for pardon and healing are one in His gracious purpose. If it be for His glory and your eternal good, He will speak the fiat, “Be clean,” and the asthma shall depart immediately. But if He tarries, know that the healing virtue which His grace has infused into you works inwardly, preparing you for that perfect day when the inhabitant shall no more say, “I am sick.” His salvation shall perfectly heal these bodies at the resurrection. Come now, with all your weakness, and cast yourself upon Him. He only heals the broken and the desperate. Trust in no ceremonies, no mere prayers of your own making, but in the living Christ who stands ready to lift you up. Believe, and according to your faith it shall be done.

Your suffering has lasted sixteen years, a long season of affliction, and your cry for total healing ascends from a burdened heart. When the body is sick, it is right to seek deliverance, even as we would plead with a physician not to neglect us, not to cease applying whatever is in his power to restore our frame. Yet consider this mystery: often, when many remedies are given, the benefit is not seen at once. The tree may receive ten strokes and stand, then fall by a single blow later, not because the earlier blows were useless, but because they made the last one effective. So it may be with your healing. Though you have endured these years without full relief, do not grow dull of hearing or slothful in faith. That eager desire for wholeness, that longing cry to God, is not empty. We are fully persuaded that fruit will come from it, for such persistent hope cannot fail of its effect.

Do not say in your heart that your prayers have gone unheard because the healing tarries. The Lord who confirmed His word by miracles is more to be believed than the report of our forefathers. He sees the root beneath the soil, even when we see only the trunk above. In the meantime, let this trial become a medicine for the soul. A perfect life, if love be absent, is no great advantage, but love adorned with patience and trust carries matchless beauty. Let your sickness draw you not to murmuring but to a love that clings to God, who speaks through His word as though He Himself were exhorting you. We are not responsible for that future time which is not yet come, but for the present we are called to earnestness. Persist, then, in hope. For something greater than bodily healing awaits those who endure: that inward renewal of strength which lays hold on eternal life. May you, having been found worthy of the admonitions of Christ, obtain the everlasting blessing of health both soul and body.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
