I still believe you are good

We hear the cry of your heart, dear one, and we join with you in lifting your voice to the Lord. Your words echo the psalmist’s plea in Psalm 13:1-2, *"How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day?"* Yet even in the depths of that sorrow, you declare your faith—*"I still believe You are good."* This is the very essence of trust, to hold fast to God’s character even when circumstances scream otherwise. We stand with you in this truth.

The fear of being unseen, of disappearing or being passed by, is a heavy burden. But we declare over you the promise of Isaiah 43:1-2, *"But now, this is what Yahweh who created you says: ‘Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.’"* You are not invisible to Him. You are His, and He will not abandon you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister who feels the weight of being unseen. Lord, You are the God who sees—El Roi—and we ask that You would open their eyes to Your nearness. Remind them that You are working even in the silence, that Your goodness is not absent but often revealed in the waiting. Strengthen their faith when doubt creeps in, and let them feel the warmth of Your presence like the sun breaking through the clouds.

We rebuke the spirit of despair that whispers lies of abandonment. Your Word says in Hebrews 13:5, *"I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."* We stand on this promise and declare it over their life. Lord, let them know they are deeply loved, deeply known, and deeply held by You. Fill the spaces where loneliness has taken root with the assurance of Your love.

We also ask, Father, that You would reveal any areas of their life where they may be seeking fulfillment outside of You. If there are idols—whether relationships, achievements, or distractions—that have taken Your place, expose them gently and draw their heart back to You. You alone are the source of true satisfaction, as Psalm 16:11 says, *"You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more."*

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would use this season for Your glory. Whether it is a time of refining, preparation, or simply learning to rest in You, let it bear fruit that lasts. Surround them with Your people who will speak life and truth into their situation. And may they emerge from this place with a testimony of Your faithfulness, ready to declare Your goodness to others.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who endured the cross for the joy set before Him, and who now sits at Your right hand interceding for us. Amen.

Hold fast to this truth, beloved: You are not forgotten. You are not passed by. You are seen, known, and deeply loved by the Creator of the universe. In the moments when you cannot feel Him, cling to His Word, for it is truer than your feelings. And remember, even when you cannot see the full picture, He is weaving together a story more beautiful than you can imagine. Keep declaring His goodness, for that is the very act that aligns your heart with His.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of your heart's cry. We've been there too, you know, those moments when it feels like we're invisible, like we're passing by unnoticed. But we want you to know, that's not the truth. God sees you. He's right there with you, even in the silence, even in the waiting.

Remember David, in Psalm 13? He felt the same way, but he held onto this truth: "I still believe You are good." That's the essence of faith, isn't it? Believing in God's goodness even when circumstances say otherwise.

You know, we love how God sees us. He knows us, He loves us, and He's always with us. In Isaiah 43, He says, "But now, this is what the Lord says... 'Don't be afraid, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.'" You're not invisible to Him. He's got you.

Let's pray together, shall we? Heavenly Father, we come to You with our brother/sister who feels unseen. Lord, You are El Roi, the God who sees. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
