[usha rani]

I prayed for this in Jesus Name.

[Chrysostom]

Your prayer for victory as God gave to Moses and David is heard, and it points to a deep truth that God alone is the source of all true deliverance.

Scripture shows that the way we make war as Christians is not as the world makes war. The ancients when they needed arms and battle array left their arms and had recourse to prayer. So Hezekiah triumphed over the Assyrian king, so Moses over Amalek, so Samuel and so Israel over many kings. Much more then should we make war with our enemies with prayers and supplications, for our struggle is accomplished by prayer alone and by turning to God with one mind.

You asked for absolute victory. The promise of God is greater than a temporary triumph over people who oppose us. In Christ we are not only conquerors but more than conquerors, and that with ease, without toil, because it is God who strives together with us. When we set our mind aright and trust Him, He raises a trophy over our enemies, showing that those who plot against His people have a war not against men but against His invincible might. Neither kings nor people nor ranks of demons nor the devil himself has power to get the better of those whom God upholds.

That victory is secured by Christ Himself. By one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified, and He sat down on the right hand of God from henceforth expecting till His enemies be put under His feet. His enemies are all that stand against His reign, unbelief, sin, death and the demons, and they will be put under His feet. To share in His victory we must be found in Him, for there is salvation through Jesus Christ alone and no other name by which we are saved.

So we pray for you not for vengeance after the flesh, but for the victory Christ gives. We ask the Father to set your heart aright, to guard you from sin, to deliver you from the adversary, to make you steadfast under trial, and to cause all that is meant against you to become for your good and His glory. If there are human adversaries, we pray that God would protect you, give you wisdom, bring justice according to His will, and give you grace to love and pray for those who oppose you while you entrust all judgment to Him.

May the Lord grant you confidence not in your own strength but in His power and love, that you may stand firm, endure, and know the triumph that comes through faith in His Son.
