Disciple of Prayer
Hello everybody,
I'm 19 years old and a firm believer in Jesus. I pray every night and all throughout the day as I have since I was a kid. I'm not the best person; I've done bad things and have sinned throughout my life, but never in my life, no matter how much I have struggled or asked God to help with situations whether He has or not, have I ever given up faith because I know He is watching over me and has a plan for me. For my whole life, I have had terrible eyesight to the point I can't read things on my TV even if I'm standing right in front of it. My vision just keeps getting worse. I can no longer afford contacts, and I have a baby on the way. I had dreams of becoming a Navy Seal and trained my butt off, but due to my eyesight, I can't join the Navy. Boxing is something I'm great at and was looking to turn pro, but I just can't do that wearing contacts; it seems as if everything I do is affected by my eyesight. I just want to serve God and do what I love and provide for my child. I went and talked to an eye specialist about corrective surgery, and they told me my eyesight was too bad already. Ever since I was a little kid, I have been praying to God to heal my eyesight and just guide me to what He wants me to do in life. I just don't know what it is. But I'm not going to give up faith because I know I serve a MIGHTY God! (Just saying that gets me pumped!) I serve the God who tells the lightning when to strike and the thunder when to roar! Demons tremble in fear in the presence of my God! I serve a mighty and powerful God! Sometimes I just break down and cry because things get so frustrating. I feel like my whole life is a wreck sometimes. But then just when I feel like I'm at that point where I can't take it anymore, my God always finds a way to lift me up and let me know He has a plan for me. My God created the Heavens and all of the earth! I just know Jesus will heal my eyesight. I'm going to continue praying every day, and I ask that anybody who reads this please prays for my eyesight and to help me fulfill God's will. God Bless!
