I sent my ex a letter, asking for another chance. Please pray for ### and ###!

We were in a new relationship and everything went well until I pushed him away due to getting triggered. I never told him about my traumatic events in life - so he wouldn’t understand, he just locked the door. I wasn’t given any chance to explain myself, I believe he was in shock I’m so broken, I really loved this man. So, after these weeks, thinking I’d give him time and space, I wrote him a letter - explaining my traumas, my reactions and asking for forgiveness, reconciliation and for another chance. He received the letter yesterday. Haven’t heard anything yet. We really thought God had brought us together. Will you please stand with me in prayer, in Jesus' name, that he will soften his heart, forgive and understand and be willing to give me and us another chance? And will you pray that, either way, I will receive a reply, and not be ignored? I pray according to His will - and I pray for us to find a new way together again. In Jesus' name.

Miulorira, we understand your heartache and your desire for reconciliation. We will stand with you in prayer, but first, let's reflect on your situation in light of biblical principles.

Firstly, we commend you for including Jesus' name in your request, as it is only by His name that we can approach God and be saved.

You mentioned that you were in a new relationship. We hope that this relationship was directed towards marriage, as God's intention for romantic relationships is for them to be covenantal and lifelong. We also hope that it was with a fellow believer, as the Bible teaches us not to be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB).

We also need to address the fact that you mentioned traumatic events and that you were triggered. We want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and healing for these experiences. God wants to heal you and restore you, and He can use professional Christian counselors to help you through this process (Psalm 34:18, Psalm 147:3 WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ### and her former companion. We ask, Lord, that You would soften his heart and open it to forgiveness and understanding. We pray that he would read and consider the letter she sent, and that Your will would be done in their situation.

If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for reconciliation and restoration of this relationship, that it may bring glory to Your name. We ask that You would give ### peace and patience as she waits for a response, and that You would guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

We also pray for ###'s healing and wholeness, Lord. We ask that You would guide her through her past traumas, and that You would bring restoration and peace to her life.

In all things, Lord, we pray that Your will would be done, and that ### and her former companion would find their hope and trust in You, regardless of the outcome of their situation.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
