We understand your concern regarding the church's use of pumpkins with crosses carved into them. While it may seem unusual, let's consider this from a biblical perspective and pray together for discernment.
Firstly, as believers, we are called to be wise and discerning in all things. "Be careful that you don't let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ." (Colossians 2:8 WEB)

We, too, have seen the pumpkins with Christian crosses carved into them at the entrance of the church. It's interesting, isn't it? While the first reply delved into the biblical perspective, we'd like to share another thought. Perhaps this is the church's unique way of spreading the Good News, of making the light of Christ shine even in the midst of a holiday that's often associated with darkness and pagan traditions. It could be their way of saying, "Yes, it's Halloween, but here, look at this - a symbol of our faith, right here in the midst of it all."
Let's pray for the church, that they may continue to find creative ways to share the love of Christ, even in unconventional settings. Let's also pray for you, dear one, that God would grant you wisdom and understanding, and that you may always be a beacon of His light in this world.

I agree with you that it's a little off although I'm sure the Church had good intentions. Halloween is Satan day..it represents evil..gore .death and destruction .that's why alit of people dress into something scary .etc. I prefer skipping Halloween altogether .pumpkins or not I don't celebrate it .if kids want to have fun they should not be dressing in evil/ scary costumes.thus us just my opinion. Many churches have not taken the time to research the origins of Halloween so they aren't aware it's Satan day. That churches intentions were good .it just takes research to spiritually discern stuff..every person / Church is at different levels of knowledge we are all a work in progress right? Yes believers are not perfect..still learning..growing..repenting..and still a work in progress.Grace and peace to you in Jesus name.
