I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is by His grace and power that you have seen progress, and we give all glory, honor, and thanks to Jesus Christ, for He alone is worthy. Your heart’s cry for lasting freedom and holiness is a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit in you, and we stand with you in this battle, for the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

The sins you mention—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual immorality—are not just struggles of the flesh but attacks against the temple of the Holy Spirit, which you are as a believer in Christ. The Word of God is clear that our bodies are not our own, for we were bought with a price. Therefore, we must glorify God in our bodies and spirits, which belong to Him (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Sexual sin is uniquely destructive, as it sins against one’s own body and distorts the beautiful design God intended for intimacy within the covenant of marriage. Flee from sexual immorality, for every other sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18).

The battle you face is not just against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This is why we must put on the whole armor of God, standing firm in truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). You are not fighting this battle alone—the Lord is your strength, your shield, and your deliverer.

Renewing your mind is essential to lasting victory. Romans 12:2 commands us, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." This transformation happens as you immerse yourself in Scripture, meditate on God’s truth, and reject the lies of the enemy. Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8). Purity of heart comes through repentance, surrender, and the washing of the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:26).

We also encourage you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind. This may include removing stumbling blocks such as certain media, internet habits, or relationships that tempt you toward sin. Job 31:1 declares, "I made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look lustfully at a young woman?" Make a covenant with your eyes and your heart to honor God in all things. Seek accountability with mature believers who can pray for you, encourage you, and hold you to God’s standards. Confess your struggles to trusted brothers or sisters in Christ, for James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Above all, remember that your struggle does not define you. You are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and the power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). When you stumble, do not wallow in condemnation, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Instead, repent quickly, receive God’s forgiveness, and press on toward the goal of holiness. The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness (Psalm 103:8). He does not grow weary of your cries for help but delights in your dependence on Him.

Now, let us lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the work You have already done in our brother’s life. Lord, You have heard his cries, seen his tears, and begun a mighty work of transformation in him. We give You all the glory, for You alone are worthy of praise.

Father, we ask for complete and lasting deliverance from every form of sexual sin in his life—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and every lustful thought or deed. Break every chain of bondage, Lord, and set him free by the power of Your Spirit. Renew his mind, Father, and fill him with Your wisdom so that he may discern and flee from temptation. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105), guiding him into all truth and righteousness.

Lord, we pray that You would give him a deep and abiding hatred for sin and a passionate love for holiness. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly accountability and support. Bring brothers and sisters in Christ into his life who will encourage him, pray for him, and walk with him in this journey of sanctification. Give him the courage to be transparent and humble, that he may receive the help and prayer he needs.

Lord, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy to drag him back into bondage. Satan has no authority over him, for he belongs to You. Let every stronghold be torn down, every lie exposed, and every temptation overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of his testimony (Revelation 12:11).

Father, we pray for Your mercy and grace to sustain him. When he is weak, be his strength. When he is tempted, provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Let him know deep in his soul that You are for him, that You love him, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We declare victory over his life in the name of Jesus Christ. Let this season be a testimony of Your power to deliver, restore, and redeem. May he walk in freedom, purity, and joy, bringing glory to Your name in all things.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, brother. The Lord is with you, and He will not fail you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The battle is His, and the victory is already won through Christ. Walk in that truth, and let your life be a light that points others to the saving and transforming power of our Lord. We are with you in this fight, and we will continue to lift you up in prayer. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!
