I really prayed and cried a lot... 😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress you have already experienced through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is by His grace and strength alone that we can overcome the bondage of sin, and we give all glory, honor, and thanks to Him for the work He has begun in you. The fact that you are seeking lasting transformation and crying out to God with such sincerity is evidence of His Spirit moving in your heart. Let us stand together in agreement, lifting this burden before the throne of grace, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

The sins you mention—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual immorality—are not just struggles of the flesh but attacks on the temple of the Holy Spirit, which you are as a believer (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). These sins distort God’s design for purity, intimacy, and relationships, and they create strongholds in the mind that can feel impossible to break free from without divine intervention. But take heart, for the Word of God declares that *no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it* (1 Corinthians 10:13). The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ Jesus, who destroyed the power of sin on the cross.

We must also address the root of these struggles, which often lies in the renewing of the mind. The apostle Paul urges us, *Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God* (Romans 12:2). Your mind has been exposed to impurity, and it will take deliberate, Spirit-led effort to replace those patterns with the truth of God’s Word. This means filling your heart and mind with Scripture, fleeing from situations that trigger temptation, and replacing old habits with godly disciplines such as prayer, worship, and fellowship with mature believers. Jesus said, *Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God* (Matthew 5:8). Purity is not just about behavior; it is a matter of the heart, and God is faithful to cleanse and restore you fully as you surrender to Him.

We also encourage you to examine the areas of your life where you may be leaving room for the enemy to gain a foothold. Are there relationships, media, or environments that feed these temptations? The Word commands us to *flee sexual immorality* (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to *make no provision for the flesh* (Romans 13:14). This may require radical changes—cutting off access to certain websites, avoiding certain friendships, or even changing daily routines—but remember, *if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna* (Matthew 5:29). The cost of obedience is worth the freedom and intimacy with Christ that follows.

Let us also remind you that this battle is not fought in your own strength. You have been given the Holy Spirit, who empowers you to walk in victory. The apostle Paul writes, *Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh* (Galatians 5:16). This means daily surrender, moment-by-moment dependence on God, and a willingness to be led by Him. When temptation comes, cry out to Jesus immediately. He is your advocate, your high priest who intercedes for you (Hebrews 7:25), and He understands your weaknesses (Hebrews 4:15). There is no shame in struggling—only in refusing to bring it to the light and to the feet of Jesus.

Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance and transformation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has poured out his heart before You. Lord, we thank You for the work You have already done in his life, for the freedom he has tasted, and for his hunger for more of Your holiness. We declare that You are faithful and just to complete what You have started, and we ask for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit to break every chain of sexual sin in his life.

Father, we pray that You would renew his mind by the washing of Your Word. Let Your truth saturate his thoughts, replacing every impure image, every lustful desire, and every ungodly pattern with the purity and love of Christ. Give him a hatred for sin and a deep love for righteousness. Help him to flee from temptation and to run toward You with all his heart. Lord, expose any hidden areas where the enemy may still have a foothold, and give him the courage to cut off anything that hinders his walk with You.

We ask for Your wisdom to guide him in practical steps—whether it is accountability with godly brothers, filtering his media consumption, or filling his time with worship and service. Surround him with brothers in Christ who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable in love. Let him not walk this path alone, but let him find strength in the body of Christ.

Lord Jesus, You were tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. You understand the depth of this struggle, and You are mighty to save. We plead Your blood over every area of his life, breaking the power of sin and the schemes of the enemy. Fill him afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in victory, self-control, and purity. Let his life be a testimony of Your transforming power, that others may see Your goodness and turn to You.

Father, we also pray for Your mercy and grace to sustain him in moments of weakness. When he stumbles, remind him that Your love is not based on his performance but on the finished work of Christ. Let him run to You in repentance, knowing that You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse him from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and uphold him with a willing spirit (Psalm 51:12).

We declare that he is no longer a slave to sin but a bondservant of righteousness (Romans 6:18). We speak life, freedom, and holiness over him in the name of Jesus. Let his heart be so captivated by Your love that the allure of sin pales in comparison to the beauty of knowing You. May he walk in the fullness of the victory You have already won for him.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises, and we believe that You are at work even now, bringing forth lasting change for Your glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we want to leave you with this encouragement: *Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God* (Hebrews 12:1-2). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is your strength, your hope, and your reward. The road may be difficult, but He is with you every step of the way. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to find a mature believer or a pastor you trust to walk alongside you in this journey. Confess your struggles to them and ask for prayer and accountability. There is power in bringing sin into the light (James 5:16), and you do not have to carry this burden alone. The body of Christ is here to support you, and we are standing with you in prayer.

Finally, remember that your identity is not defined by your struggles but by your position in Christ. You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), redeemed, forgiven, and empowered to walk in holiness. Claim this truth daily, and let it be the foundation of your victory. We are cheering you on, and we believe that God is going to do immeasureably more than you could ask or imagine in this area of your life (Ephesians 3:20). Stay steadfast, brother. The Lord is with you!

We're right there with you, brother, cheering you on and standing in agreement with your prayer. It's amazing to see the progress you've already made, and we're believing with you for complete freedom and transformation. Let's keep pressing in together, shall we?

We want to encourage you with these words from the apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Remember, it's not by your own strength that you've come this far, but by the grace and power of Jesus Christ. Keep looking to Him, and trust that He who began this good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

Let's also pray for you:

"Lord Jesus, we lift up our brother before You, thanking You for the work You've already done in his life. We ask that You would continue to reveal Yourself to him, breaking every chain of sin and setting him free. Give him wisdom to know what steps to take, and courage to take them. Surround him with godly brothers who will encourage, pray for, and hold him accountable in love. Help him to fill his mind with Your Word, flee from temptation, and run to You with all his heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep fighting the good fight, brother. You're not alone in this, and we're believing with you for lasting victory in Jesus' name.
