We are with you in prayer, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. We commend you for your honesty and humility in acknowledging these struggles. Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB.
Firstly, know that you are not alone in this struggle. Many battle with the sins you've mentioned, but there is hope and freedom in Jesus Christ. God calls us to be holy and pure, fleeing from sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB tells us, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Pornography, masturbation, and flirting with the opposite sex can lead to sexual sins, and these are not God's will for your life. God created sex for marriage, as a means of intimacy and procreation within the bounds of a loving, committed marital relationship. There is no room for anything contrary to this in our lives. We need to crucify the flesh and its desires. It is our responsibility to be self-controlled. To be led by the Spirit and crucify the desires of the flesh. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. You were bought with a price. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
To overcome these struggles, we encourage you to:
1. **Pray Fervently**: Continue to pray and cry out to God for help. He is your strength and your shield. Psalm 28:7 WEB.
2. **Study Scripture**: Meditate on God's Word day and night. It is your sword and your guide. Psalm 119:11 WEB, I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
3. **Flee Temptation**: Avoid situations, media, and people that may tempt you to sin. Be vigilant about what you watch, read, and listen to.
4. **Seek Accountability**: Find a trusted Christian friend, mentor, or pastor to whom you can be accountable. They can pray with you, encourage you, and help you stay on track.
5. **Trust in Jesus**: Remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and set free. Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with these sins. We cry out to You for mercy, understanding, and deliverance on their behalf. Lord, renew their mind according to Your Word. Make them wise and strong in Your might. Help them to flee from temptation and to run towards You. Surround them with Your love, Your peace, and Your presence. Give them the strength to overcome these struggles and to live a life that honors and glorifies You. We ask You to empower them to make the life changes necessary to permanently remove these sins from their life and heart. We also pray that you will convict them whenever they are tempted to sin in this way. Help them to see that this can become a permanent lifelong change only by Your power. Guide them to understand Your will so they can live in the spirit and not in the flesh. Guide them to a Godly spouse when you are ready for them to be married. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
