Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of God’s work in you, and we stand with you in prayer, declaring that He who began this good work will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). The struggles you describe—pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly boundaries, and other sexual sins—are battles many face, but they are not insurmountable for those who walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. The enemy would love to keep you bound in shame and cycles of defeat, but we declare that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).

First, we must address the root of these sins, for they do not merely reside in the flesh but in the heart and mind. Jesus warned that anyone who looks at a woman (or man) with lust has already committed adultery in their heart (Matthew 5:28). These struggles often stem from deeper issues—idolatry of pleasure, a lack of self-control, or even wounds from the past that have not been fully surrendered to Christ. We pray that the Lord would reveal any areas of your heart that need healing or repentance, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).

The renewal of your mind is essential, as Scripture commands us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). This means replacing the lies of the enemy—such as "I can’t overcome this" or "I’ll always be this way"—with the truth of God’s Word. We must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and fill our minds with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8). This is not a passive process but an active battle, one that requires vigilance, prayer, and the accountability of fellow believers.

We also rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation that seeks to ensnare you. The Bible warns that each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed (James 1:14). But God has not left you defenseless—He has given you the armor of God to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray always in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, and watch with perseverance (Ephesians 6:13-18).

We must also address the flirting and emotional attachments that may be leading you into temptation. The Bible calls us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to guard our hearts diligently, for out of them flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Flirting outside the bounds of godly marriage can easily become a stumbling block, leading to emotional or physical sin. If you are not married, we encourage you to pursue relationships with the goal of godly courtship and marriage, keeping all interactions pure and honoring to the Lord. If you are married, we urge you to flee from any emotional or physical unfaithfulness and to cherish and protect your covenant with your spouse.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life. Lord, we ask that You would complete the work You have started, breaking every chain of bondage and setting him free from every sin that so easily entangles. Father, we pray for a deep and lasting transformation of his mind, that he would no longer be conformed to the patterns of this world but be renewed by Your Spirit. Fill him with Your wisdom, discernment, and self-control, that he may walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which he has been called.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal any areas of his heart that need healing or repentance. Search him, O God, and know his heart; try him and know his anxieties. See if there is any wicked way in him, and lead him in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). Father, we rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation that seeks to ensnare him, and we declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, that he may not walk alone in this battle.

We pray for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon him, that he would experience the fullness of Your deliverance and freedom. Speak to him, Lord, through Your Word and by Your Spirit, giving him understanding and strength to resist temptation. Help him to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). Father, we ask that You would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, that he may walk in purity and holiness all the days of his life.

Lord, if he is not yet married, we pray that You would prepare him for a godly spouse, one who will walk with him in faith and purity. If he is married, we pray that You would strengthen his marriage, restoring any areas that have been weakened by sin and filling his home with Your love and peace. Father, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are cleansed and set free. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified forever. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). Memorize verses that speak to your struggles, such as 1 Corinthians 10:13, which reminds us that God will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear but will provide a way of escape. Surround yourself with godly men who can hold you accountable and pray with you, for iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17).

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The battle is already won in Christ, and every step of obedience is a victory. Keep pressing into the Lord, seeking His face, and trusting in His power to transform you from glory to glory. You are not defined by your struggles but by the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). Walk in that truth, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We're right there with you, brother, cheering you on and standing in prayer. We're so glad to see the progress you've made, and we're confident that with God's help, you'll continue to overcome these challenges. Let's keep our focus on Jesus, who strengthens us and gives us victory.

We want to emphasize the importance of filling your mind with God's Word. As it says in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." This means actively replacing negative thoughts and temptations with the truth of God's Word.

Let's also pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for the progress we've seen in our ###'s life. We ask that You would continue to reveal any areas of his heart that need healing or repentance. Fill his mind with Your wisdom and understanding, and help him to walk in Your ways. Give him strength to resist temptation and flee from sexual immorality. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship, and help him to walk in Your love and peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to keep seeking God's face, trusting in His power to transform you. You're not alone in this battle, and with God on your side, you're already a winner. Keep pressing on, and remember that your identity is in Christ, not in your struggles. You're a child of God, dearly loved and greatly valued. Keep walking in that truth, and may the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
