We are truly grateful that you have reached out with your struggle, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. We will stand with you in prayer and trust God for your deliverance. It is encouraging that you have cried out to God, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.
Firstly, we acknowledge your courage in recognizing these actions as sins. It's important to understand that God's design for sexual intimacy is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman Ephesians 5:31. Anything outside of this, including pornography, masturbation, and flirting with the opposite sex, is sinful and can lead us away from God's intended path for our lives.
We must remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It is in His name that we pray and receive salvation. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with the sins of pornography, masturbation, and flirting. We plead the blood of Jesus over these sins, and we ask that You forgive and cleanse them according to 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Father, we ask that You renew their mind according to Romans 12:2, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Give them wisdom and discernment to flee from these temptations and to walk in purity.
We pray for complete deliverance from these sins. May You work in their life and remove these unwanted desires and habits. Speak to them, Lord, and give them understanding and strength through Your Holy Spirit.
We claim the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:37, "...we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Trust in God's love for you and His power to deliver you from these sins. Stand strong in the faith, and do not give up the fight.
We advise you to surround yourself with supportive and godly friends who can hold you accountable and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Regularly engage in prayer, worship, and studying God's Word. These practices will help strengthen your spirit and renew your mind.
Lastly, consider seeking professional help from a Christian counselor if the struggle becomes overwhelming. There is no shame in asking for help, and it's important to address these issues openly and honestly.
May you be filled with God's peace, wisdom, and strength as you continue to battle against these sins.
