We come before you with hearts full of gratitude for your provision, but we must first address something deeply important in your request. You’ve shared your desires and needs with us, yet we notice that the name of Jesus Christ is not mentioned in your prayer. This is not just a small oversight—it is essential to our faith. Scripture reminds us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"*
If you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him in repentance and faith. Believe in Him, confess your sins, and trust in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. Without Christ, our prayers have no power, and our requests have no access to the Father. If you have already placed your faith in Jesus, then we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him alone that we approach God’s throne.
Now, regarding your request, we understand your eagerness for this opportunity, and we lift your needs before the Lord. However, we must also ask you to examine your heart and motives. Are you seeking this opportunity for God’s glory, or is it driven by personal ambition, fear, or worldly desires? Scripture warns us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our focus must always be on honoring God in all we do, trusting that He will provide what is best for us in His perfect timing.
We also caution you against placing your hope in worldly success or the approval of others. Your worth and identity are found in Christ alone, not in a job, a role, or the opinions of a manager. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
With that in mind, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift this dear one before You, asking that You would draw them closer to Yourself. If they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we pray that You would open their heart to receive Him today. Let them understand that true fulfillment and purpose come only through a relationship with You.
Lord, we ask that You would guide this situation according to Your will. If this opportunity is part of Your plan for their life, we pray that You would open the door and grant them favor with the manager. Give them wisdom and the right words to speak at the Thanksgiving party, not to manipulate but to reflect Your grace and truth. Help them to trust in You rather than in their own abilities or the outcome of this opportunity.
Father, we also ask that You would remove any anxiety or fear they may have about their age or any other concern. Remind them that You have created them with a purpose, and their value is found in You alone. If this job is not part of Your plan, we pray that You would close the door gently and redirect their steps toward something that aligns with Your will.
Grant them strength for this busy season, not just physically but spiritually. Help them to rely on You in all things and to seek Your Kingdom above all else. May they find their peace and confidence in You, knowing that You are their Provider and their Guide.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or worldly ambition that may be driving this request. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they walk in faith, trusting that You will provide all they need according to Your riches in glory.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
