When I don't know what to pray for, it's usually because I don't feel worthy to
ask for anything for myself, or else I have so many difficulties I don't know where to start
in prayer. When I get in these moods I pray for others. Somehow praying for others is
easier for me.
When I don't know what to pray, I still pray. I talk to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to pray for
me because my mind is muddled and I don't know what to pray for.
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to
pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans." Romans 8:26.
My roommate is doing his best to distract me as I write this blog. She makes fun of me
when I pray and she thinks I am praying. I corrected her that I am attempting to write a
blog. The teasing lessened somewhat, but no matter.
Lord I lift this roommate up to you. Something is wrong; I have no idea what problems
she has when someone is busy writing, why she has to disrupt and antagonize and
distract me. But you know what is wrong. Find a way to reach her heart Father. Make
her be still. Let her hear your voice or the touch of your hand upon her heart.
