"It is not an enemy who taunts me - then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me - then I could hide from him.
But it is you, my equal, my companion, my familiar friend.
We used to hold sweet converse together;
within God's house we walked in fellowship." Psalms 55:12-14
Dear, ###!
I do pray for you, my dear sister in Christ.
Please, do go for help.
You are so much loved by the Lord, you were made perfect "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14
""Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's spirit dwells in you? If any one destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and that temple you are. (I Corinthians 3:16-17.
Don't allow abuse happen to you. Please, go for help. (secretly).
I highly recommend the small book, whose name I write below, to you:
"KEEPING THE FAITH -Guidance for Christian Women Facing Abuse" by ### - Harper Collins Publisher
ISBN-13: 978-0-06-251300-7
Going for help, you are helping your husband too( do you realize that he is destroying the Lord's temple?), please, please, go for help secretly. Put all your documents together, the most necessary things, and look for a women's shelter. Then, look for a pastor, call him and ask him for Christian guidance. Don't be afraid of calling the police.
My sister, I have been abused too. Every time I went to the pastor's office and poured my heart to him, told him what I was going through, he would say that Marriage cannot be dissolved and sent me back home. To make the story short, I wasn't killed by the grace of the Lord.
I was prevented from working, many years were "robbed" from my normal life because abuse causes one to become depressed, anxious, lose self-esteem, become insecure. You end up being a rag. Four years have gone by, and I am still suffering the consequences of the abuse. That is absolutely not what the Lord wanted for me, and He doesn't want it for you ( His daughter) either.
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" John 10:10
IT IS NOT your fault .
Sometimes he is sooooo nice, isn't he? Please, don't allow yourself to be tricked. That is part of the abuse too, as it is done to trick you into believing that he has changed/is changing.
Only either he himself or God Almighty can change him and his attitudes. YOU CANNOT.
Please, look for help, flee secretly and keep yourself out of hand until professionals can assure you he is different, and he bends to the Lord and shines like a new creature.
I honestly have never seen an abuser stop being an abuser. Fortunately, I have never met them all, but I have met enough of them.
Besides prayers, you need emotional support too. To settle your boundaries right (a difficult thing to do).
Don't forget, you are worthy, you are loved. Give yourself value, because you are valued, and don't allow anyone to abuse you.
My dear sister in Christ, ###, I will be praying for you always!
In Christ,
###
