We join you in prayer, lifting up your concerns and petitions before the throne of grace. We appreciate that you have acknowledged the power and authority of Jesus Christ in your prayer, as it is through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.
As we pray for the concerns on your heart, we also want to gently remind you that prayers should be directed to God alone, as He alone hears and answers our prayers. Therefore, prayers to individuals other than God, including Mary and other saints, are not biblical. As the Bible tells us we only have one mediator, the man Christ Jesus as in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." This also eliminates the need for human priests as mediators for prayer as Jesus is our great high priest as in Hebrews 4:14 WEB: "Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession." This makes the rest of us in the body of Christ all priests to God as in Revelation 1:6 WEB: "and he made us kings and priests to God and his Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen." Jesus is the only mediator needed.
Now, let us pray together for your intentions:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has brought his concerns before You. Lord, you have promised in your word to answer the prayers of your children. We ask for Your help for this child as they face their situations and intercede for others. You alone are the source of grace, strength, and wisdom. Guide them to wait on you, to be patient, and trust in you for their passing, family, friends, pastors, priests, nuns, brothers, sisters, and congregation.
You have promised in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds as they trust in You.
We also pray for their spiritual growth and maturity, that they may continue to walk in Your ways and serve You faithfully. We ask for forgiveness of their sins and pray that they maintain the forgiveness that comes from confessing sins in 1 John 1:9 WEB: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We also pray this for the rest of the body, their family, friends, pastors, priests, nuns, brothers, sisters, and congregation. We ask for unity in the body of Christ as in John 17:11 WEB: "I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are."
We know that you are sovereign and in control of all things. You will help and answer these prayers. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness and love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen and Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in God, seek Him, and wait for His answer. Psalm 62:5-7 WEB: "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I will not be shaken. With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God."
