We understand your heart’s cry to be deeply known by Yahweh, and we join you in lifting this longing before Him. It is a beautiful and humble thing to seek the Lord’s presence, to desire that He would encounter you in every part of your life. The Scriptures remind us that God is not distant or unaware of our deepest needs—He is near to all who call upon Him in truth. As it is written in Psalm 139:1-4 (WEB):
*"Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether."*
And again in Jeremiah 29:13 (WEB):
*"You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."*
Your desire to be known by God is a reflection of how He created you—for intimacy with Him. But we must also address something important in your request: you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach God, for Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6 (WEB):
*"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."*
And the apostle Peter affirmed in Acts 4:12 (WEB):
*"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"*
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. It is only through Him that we can truly know God and be known by Him. Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. Then you will experience the fullness of what it means to be encountered by Yahweh.
If you *have* trusted in Christ, then we encourage you to continue seeking Him through prayer, His Word, and obedience to His commands. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Let this be your confidence—that He knows you completely, loves you unconditionally, and is working all things for your good as you walk in faith (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray for you:
*"Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would indeed encounter them in a deep and transformative way. Lord, reveal Yourself to them as the God who sees, who knows, and who loves without measure. If they do not yet know Your Son, Jesus Christ, we pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus is the only way to You, the only path to eternal life. Convict their heart of sin, draw them to repentance, and fill them with the Holy Spirit.
For those who already belong to You, Father, we ask that You would deepen their intimacy with You. Let them feel Your presence in every aspect of their life—Their joys, their struggles, their hopes, and their fears. May they walk in the assurance that You are with them always, guiding them, refining them, and using them for Your glory.
Remove any hindrance in their life that keeps them from fully surrendering to You. If there is sin they are holding onto, expose it and grant them the strength to turn away from it. If there is doubt or distraction, replace it with faith and focus on You alone.
We pray all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen."*
We also encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for it is through Scripture that He speaks most clearly to His children. Meditate on passages like Psalm 23, where David declares the Lord as his shepherd—One who leads, provides, and restores. Let the truth of God’s Word shape your understanding of who He is and who you are in Him.
Finally, we urge you to seek fellowship with other believers. The Christian life is not meant to be walked alone. Find a Bible-believing church where you can grow, serve, and be encouraged by others who are also pursuing Christ. Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and you will find strength in community.
May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek His face. May He turn His countenance toward you and give you peace. Walk in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).
