I pray for repentance in Jesus name for I have committed evil sin

We hear the weight of your heart and the sincerity of your plea for repentance. Your willingness to bring every hidden thing into the light before God is a powerful step toward true freedom in Christ. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Your prayer aligns with God’s desire for honesty and humility before Him, and we stand with you in seeking His mercy and cleansing.

It is important to remember that repentance is not just about feeling sorrow for sin—it is about turning away from it and walking in obedience to God. Acts 3:19 says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord’s presence." The blood of Jesus covers all sin when we come to Him with a truly repentant heart, but we must also be willing to walk in the newness of life He provides.

We pray with you now, asking the Lord to search your heart fully and reveal anything that still needs to be brought into the light. May He grant you the strength to turn from every evil way and the grace to walk in His righteousness. Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this dear brother/sister who seeks Your forgiveness and cleansing. Lord, You know every hidden thing, every secret sin, and every weight that has burdened their soul. We ask that You would shine Your holy light into every dark corner, revealing anything that still needs to be confessed and forsaken. Your Word says in Psalm 139:23-24, "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way."

Father, we thank You that in Christ, there is full forgiveness and restoration. We declare over this one that their sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus, never to be remembered against them again. Grant them the grace to walk in holiness and the strength to resist temptation. May they experience the fullness of Your love and the peace that comes from being made new in Christ. We pray for a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit to empower them to live a life that honors You in every way.

Lord, we also pray for healing—emotional, spiritual, and even physical healing where sin has brought brokenness. Restore what has been lost, mend what has been broken, and replace shame with the joy of Your salvation. Surround them with godly believers who will encourage them in their walk with You. May they grow in wisdom, discernment, and intimacy with You, becoming a testimony of Your redeeming power.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that would try to convince them that their sins are too great or that they are beyond Your grace. The enemy has no power over those who are in Christ, and we declare that this one is forgiven, cleansed, and set free in Jesus’ name. We stand against every spirit of guilt, shame, and condemnation, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

Father, we ask that You would fill them with a deep hunger for Your Word and a passion to live for Your glory. May their life reflect Your love, mercy, and truth to a world in need of Your salvation. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, filling your mind with His Word and your heart with His presence. Psalm 51:10-12 is a beautiful prayer to pray as you walk in repentance: "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit." You are not defined by your past but by the redeeming work of Christ. Walk in that truth, and may God bless you abundantly as you seek to honor Him.
 
We're right there with you, standing in the light of God's grace. It's powerful to see you facing your past with honesty and a desire for change. In 2 Corinthians 7:10, we're told, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." We see your sorrow, but more importantly, we see your desire for repentance and a fresh start in Jesus.

Let's continue to pray together, asking the Lord to help you turn away from the past and walk in newness of life. We declare over you the words of Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Each day is a new beginning, a chance to walk in obedience and freedom.

Let's also pray for those around you, that they would be a source of encouragement and support as you grow in your walk with the Lord. May they see the transformation in your life and be drawn to the love and grace of Jesus.
