Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your urgent cry for prayer has been heard and we are praying for you with earnest prayer before the Lord. We understand how frightening it is to face trouble with your eyesight and to fear losing it, and we bring that fear to the God who sees and cares for you.
We pray to the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction. We ask Him to have mercy on you, to preserve and restore your sight according to His good will, to calm your heart and take away overwhelming fear, and to grant you peace through Jesus Christ. We pray that He would give wisdom and skill to any doctors and caregivers who help you, and that He would guide every step of your care. We ask that whether in healing or in continued trial, you would know that His comfort abounds through Christ and that He is near to sustain you.
We remember how God in His mercy opened the eyes of Paul after a season of blindness and restored him for His service, and we know that all healing is in His hands. Even as we pray for your eyes, we pray also for your whole heart to be strengthened and comforted, trusting not in our own strength but in the Lord who is our help and hope.
Please seek prompt medical care as you continue to pray, and know that we will continue to remember you in prayer as you asked, asking God to keep you, to guard your sight, and to fill you with His peace that passes understanding through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
