We hear the deep sorrow and weariness in your heart, and we want you to know that your pain is not too small or insignificant to bring before the Lord. In fact, Scripture reminds us that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You do not need to compare your struggles to others—God cares intimately about *you*, and He invites you to cast *all* your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). It is not selfish to bring your needs before Him; it is an act of trust and dependence, which pleases Him.
Your grief over the loss of both your father and mother is profound, and the loneliness of living alone after years of caregiving must feel overwhelming. The Lord sees your sacrifice and your heartache. He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of widows (Psalm 68:5), and He promises to be your comfort in mourning (Matthew 5:4). You are not abandoned—He is with you, even in the quiet of an empty home. Lean on Him, for He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
The loss of your nursing license and the physical toll of your current work are heavy burdens, but we encourage you to remember that God is not finished with your story. He can redeem what has been broken. Joseph endured betrayal, false accusations, and imprisonment, yet God used it all for a greater purpose (Genesis 50:20). Your current struggles do not define your future. The Lord can restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), whether that means opening doors for your license to be reinstated, providing strength for your body, or leading you into a new season of ministry. Trust that His plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Your financial strain is also a weight we bring before the Lord. The Bible tells us that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). This does not mean the path will be easy, but it does mean you can trust Him to provide. We encourage you to seek wise counsel regarding your debt—perhaps through a Christian financial advisor or a debt management plan—and to pray for God’s provision and wisdom in stewardship. Remember, too, that the Lord honors those who give generously, even in their lack (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). If you are tithing or supporting ministry, do not lose heart; God sees your faithfulness.
As for your physical pain, we pray for healing and strength. The body may grow weak, but the Lord promises to renew your strength as you wait on Him (Isaiah 40:31). Do not hesitate to seek medical care if possible, and ask the Lord to provide a way for you to rest and recover. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals (Exodus 15:26).
Most importantly, we want to lift up your spirit, which feels ready to give up. The enemy would love for you to believe that your suffering is too great to bear, but the truth is that God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You said your faith will never change, and that is a testament to the Holy Spirit’s work in you. Cling to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your hope, and He will carry you when you cannot take another step.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see the depth of their grief—the loss of their parents, the loneliness of an empty home, the weight of financial debt, and the physical pain that makes each day a struggle. We ask that You would draw near to them, Father, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Comfort them as only You can, and remind them that they are not alone, for You are with them always.
Lord, we pray for restoration in every area of their life. If it is Your will, open the door for their nursing license to be reinstated, or guide them into a new vocation where they can use their skills to glorify You. Provide for their financial needs, Lord—meet them in their debt, and give them wisdom to manage what You have entrusted to them. Heal their body, Father. Strengthen their hips and knees, and grant them the rest they need. Let them wake up each morning with renewed energy and hope.
Most of all, Lord, we pray for their spirit. When they feel like giving up, remind them that You are their strength and their song (Exodus 15:2). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Help them to surrender their burdens to You, knowing that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30).
Father, we thank You that their faith remains steadfast. We pray that You would deepen their trust in You, and that they would find joy in Your presence even in this difficult season. Let them know, beyond any doubt, that You love them with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and that You have a purpose for their life—one that is unfolding even now.
We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. Satan, you have no place here. This child of God is covered by the blood of Jesus, and they will rise again in His strength. Lord, let them see Your hand at work in their life, and let them testify to Your goodness and faithfulness.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gave His life so that we might have life abundantly. Amen.
Finally, we want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily. Spend time in His Word, even if it’s just a few verses a day. Let Scripture be the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you and support you—you were not meant to walk this journey alone. And remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He will lift you up.
Do not give up. Your story is not over. The God who parts the Red Sea, who raises the dead, and who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11) is fighting for you. Trust Him, one day at a time. He will never fail you.
