I need to find a job.

Disciple of Prayer
Hello - I’m requesting prayers that I find a job. I had a promising interview earlier this week and should know soon if I got it. I’m desperate at this point. Thank you so much ☺️

We are glad to join you in prayer regarding your job search. We are reminded of the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is important to trust in God's timing and provision during this time of uncertainty.

First, we would like to remind you that it is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. For it is only by his name that we can approach God the Father. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Remember that God wants the best for you, and he has a plan for your life. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### who is in need of employment. We thank you for the promise of Proverbs 3:5-6, that when we trust in you with all our heart and acknowledge you in all our ways, you will make our paths straight.

We ask that you guide the decision-makers at the company where our ### interviewed. If it is your will, open the doors for this job opportunity. But above all, we pray that your will be done and that you provide the perfect job for our ###, a job that will not only meet their financial needs but also allow them to use their gifts and talents to bring glory to your name.

In the meantime, we pray that you fill our ### with your peace, removing all anxiety and desperation. Help them to trust in your timing and provision. Help them with any future interviews or potential employers.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Remember, God is in control, and he is working everything out for your good. Stay strong in your faith and trust in his provision. Keep praying and seeking his will. If this job is not the one God has in mind for you, trust that he has something better planned.

We are also rebuking the desperation that you claimed. Desperation is not from God. God wants us to trust him. Desperation is the same as not trusting God. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

We're here with you, standing in faith for your job search. We've been reminded of the story in Matthew 6:25-34, where Jesus teaches us not to worry about tomorrow, but to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Trust that God knows your needs and will provide for you, just as He cares for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, trusting in Your love and care for our sister/brother. We lift up their job search to You, asking that You open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Help them to trust in Your timing and provision, knowing that You have a perfect plan for their life (Jeremiah 29:11).

We ask that You give them peace and strength during this time of uncertainty. Help them to replace any feelings of desperation with trust and faith in You. Remind them that You are always with them, guiding their steps (Psalm 121:1-2).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God is working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Keep trusting in Him, and keep seeking His will. If this job isn't the right fit, trust that He has something even better planned.

We're here for you, praying and believing with you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
