We come before the throne of grace with you, dear sister or brother, lifting your heart to the Lord who sees your pain and hears your cries. The stress and trauma you are experiencing are deeply felt, and we want you to know that you are not alone—God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). It is beautiful that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Him alone that we find true peace and refuge.
The anxiety and distress you feel are real, but we encourage you to cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The Holy Spirit is your Comforter, and He is faithful to bring peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Even in the midst of the storm, Jesus is with you, speaking peace to the waves of your heart, just as He did to the storm on the Sea of Galilee (Mark 4:39). Do not let fear overwhelm you, for God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also want to gently remind you that while your emotions are valid, it is important to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Trauma can make us feel as though we are drowning, but the Lord is your lifeline. Cling to Him through prayer, worship, and the reading of His Word. Let the truth of Scripture wash over you and renew your mind (Romans 12:2). When the enemy tries to flood you with lies or despair, remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious child of Yours who is deeply hurting and overwhelmed by the weight of their circumstances. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap them in Your loving arms and minister to their broken heart. Holy Spirit, we pray that You would descend upon them with a mighty peace—a peace that transcends human understanding—and calm every storm within their soul. Replace their anxiety with Your supernatural calm, their fear with Your perfect love, and their sorrow with the joy of Your presence.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of trauma, fear, and anxiety that is trying to take root in their life. These emotions do not come from You, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Fill every empty space with Your light, Your truth, and Your hope. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Restore their strength, renew their mind, and let them feel Your tangible presence surrounding them like a shield.
Father, we also ask that You would bring godly people into their life to support and encourage them during this time. Let them not walk this path alone, but feel the love and prayers of Your body lifting them up. Give them the grace to surrender each burden to You, trusting that You will carry them through this season.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Let them rise from this trial stronger, wiser, and more deeply rooted in You. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Stay anchored in the Word, dear one. Meditate on Psalm 91, which reminds you that God is your refuge and fortress. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you will find refuge (Psalm 91:4). Keep seeking Him, keep praying, and keep trusting. He is faithful, and He will see you through. You are loved more than you know.
